Snapchat v2.0 update brings support for video messaging on Android
Snapchat came to the Android platform several months back. At the time the app arrived with support for sharing in text and image format, however video was recently added. The video messaging support was being tested in a private beta, however as of today -- that testing period has come to a close and the updated app (with video) is now available in the Google Play Store.

Google Drive Android app update brings video streaming and more
The latest update for the Google Drive app has landed in the Google Play Store. The update is probably not what could be considered major, however there does seem to be enough to consider it worthwhile. Those updating will see the version number go up to 1.1.592.10 and that will bring some performance improvements and bug fixes as well as two new features.

SugarSync 2.0 update brings new features and a new look [Hands-On]
We mentioned back in December when SugarSync released the the v2.0 update in beta form and as of a bit more recently -- that app has graduated from beta and is now available in the Google Play Store. One point worth noting with the version number though, v2.0 refers to SugarSync as a service. The Android app itself has jumped to version 4.0.0. Either way, a SugarSync app update is available.

Tweet Lanes Twitter app goes open source
The Tweet Lanes Twitter app originally launched back in July 2012. The interesting part here, the app launched with quite a bit of hype, both from the developer and from the users. The app touted itself as being "Pure Twitter" and "Pure Android" and there was little to disagree with as it was a solid app. The bad news arrived later on when the developer, Chris Lacy, decided to stop active development on the app.

NFC by MOO app arrives in Google Play Store [Hands-On]
MOO announced their NFC business cards way back in September 2012. Coming more recently however, they have released an app for Android users. The app is called NFC by MOO and can be found in the Google Play Store. In short, the app will allow you to program NFC cards (or tags). The catch is, the release of the app would probably have made much more sense if the NFC equipped business cards were actually available.

Slacker Radio v4.0 update brings a redesigned Android app [Hands-On]
The Slacker Radio has recently been updated and while we are fans of the new look and new design, we will offer the warning up front -- if you are really loving your currently installed version of the app, you may want to hold off on this update. While the core features of the app seem to have remained the same, the look and feel has been given a complete overhaul. You can get a look at that in the image below, even the app icon has undergone a dramatic change.

The Pokemon TV app lets you stream free episodes from the series straight to your device. It doesn't have the complete series, but there are enough episodes to help you kill time and also find your inner child.
