Google Play Store vending machines hit Japan

You can get lots of things from vending machines in Japan: tea, snack foods, beer, and now Android Apps. Capitalizing on the popular Japanese method for getting just about anything, Google has released a series of Play Store vending machines. The Play Store vending machines are tipped to offer apps and games via NFC, rather than a download.

Sony BRAVIA Smart Stick gets official

Sony is finally announcing something that we already know since early this week. The company has officially unveiled its Smart Stick accessory that includes support for Google Services, meaning, Android apps and the Chrome browser. And, as already reported, it only works with Sony's BRAVIA TV line.

When Google announced their Chromecast media-streaming dongle back at the end of July, it was met with tons of excitement. So much in fact, that they've been having a rather tough time keeping it in stock. It's been sold out and in and out of the Google Play Store for a few months, not to mention Amazon and Best Buy having the same troubles. Today though, Google finally has more.
