Themer hands-on: the newest launcher for Android

Themer, the popular new app/launcher, has a waitlist approaching several hundred thousand people. The promise is simple: theme your device easily, making it appear fresh on a whim. Accomplished via a link to their MyColorScreen site, which houses various themes for you to use (as well as a tool to build your own!), Themer wants to make the fussy task of theming a device as simple as looking through a picture gallery. No wonder the wait list is so long.

Google Now supports alternate languages, thanks to XDA workaround

With all the work done by Google on language translation and recognition, it’s still a bit strange that some of their apps are english-only. Case in point: Google Now. Relegated to the english language, Google Now has a lot to offer those in the non-english speaking world. Over at XDA Developers, user Sletmo has created a Google Now workaround which will display information in just about any language.

Apple’s Siri gets snarky with Google Glass replies

Oh, it is definitely on! The battle for the top smartphone assistant has been going on for quite some time now but it seems that Apple's voice-controlled helper has now taken her gloves off. Siri has been reported to have some very amusing replies when people, mistakenly or intentionally, address her as "Glass".
