Motorola’s Touchless Control app updated

Contextual information is important, but relies on having your device handy. There are times when that isn’t the case, though. We set our phone down, and just can’t find it. Motorola knows we are forgetful, and have introduced a new feature to help us out in those frustrating moments.

Google may be working on a smartwatch running Google Now

With everyone else entering the smartwatch game, it stands to reason Google would. With Samsung’s severely limited Gear, and Apple dragging their feet on the smartwatch they’re said to have in development, the time is right for a Google smartwatch. Themer hands-on: the newest launcher for Android

Themer, the popular new app/launcher, has a waitlist approaching several hundred thousand people. The promise is simple: theme your device easily, making it appear fresh on a whim. Accomplished via a link to their MyColorScreen site, which houses various themes for you to use (as well as a tool to build your own!), Themer wants to make the fussy task of theming a device as simple as looking through a picture gallery. No wonder the wait list is so long.

Google Now supports alternate languages, thanks to XDA workaround

With all the work done by Google on language translation and recognition, it’s still a bit strange that some of their apps are english-only. Case in point: Google Now. Relegated to the english language, Google Now has a lot to offer those in the non-english speaking world. Over at XDA Developers, user Sletmo has created a Google Now workaround which will display information in just about any language.
