GM expands OnStar App compatibility to more vehicles

I really like the idea of an app on my smartphone that can unlock my car for me and do other things. GM has a cool OnStar app for people that have a compatible vehicle with the OnStar service inside that has been around for a while now. The app lets users do all kinds of cool stuff from checking fuel level and tire pressure to starting the car and locking their doors or unlocking them.

Android Could be the Next Operating System of the Chevy Volt

As cars get smarter, there's no surprise that the Operating Systems powering them are going to get a lot more mainstream. No more just worrying about computer chips. No, as we get navigation units, and as OnStar gets smarter, we have to start looking at the things that power our every day items. Like our phones. And, as we can clearly see from the mobile phone market, Android is one of the strongest competitors to date. Apparently General Motors feels the same way, because reports are coming in that they're about to strike a deal with Google that would put Android in the Chevy Volt of the future.

Is This The LG Aloha?

LG is rumored to be working on a high-end Android device codenamed Aloha. So far there have not been any pictures of the device. The handset in the picture is the LG LU2300 and it is set for release in Korea. Could this be the rumored Aloha? Most of the specs match the rumored specs except the product number, C710 is rumored to be the Aloha and this device is the LU2300.

Like most new phones, AT&T and Dell are trying to keep the information on this phone tight lipped until they are ready to officially introduce it. Engadget managed to get some hands on time with the Aero at this year’s CTIA and there were a few surprises packed into this phone. Needless to say they are not the type of surprises we like around here.

There is a new version of the LogMeIn Remote Access Application being developed for Android. This app will allow your Android-based device to control your work or home PC from almost anywhere in the world. You will also have the ability manipulate any program that is on your desktop or laptop right from your Android device.

Yahoo responds to AT&T’s Backflip search option

Yahoo has made an official statement regarding AT&T's choice of  their search engine as the default in the upcoming Motorola Backflip. As we all know the Backflip is an Android device, yet Google Search will not be including in AT&T’s version of MotoBlur.
