Texas Instruments OMAP 5 SoC mobile processor gets shown off on camera [Video]

While we are still waiting to see what Texas Instrument might have in store for ICS devices, they are already starting to tease us about the next generation in mobile processors. Their new OMAP 5 chipset is shown off in a few video demos today and we have them all below for your viewing pleasure. Basically the OMAP 5 are some dual-core powerhouse chips rocking speeds upwards of 2.0 Ghz and some serious graphical prowess.

T-Mobile’s Galaxy S Passes through the FCC

Although we’ve heard that the Galaxy S was headed to every major carrier in the US, it seems T-Mobile might be the first out the gate with their version. It has just passed through the FCC and it could (highly unlikely) make it way to Magenta in time for the free phone promotion this Saturday.

Motorola Shadow Benchmarked and It’s Pretty Fast

A member from Howard Forums benchmarked his Shadow with an app called Quadrant. The results were very favorable for the Shadow especially if it is running Android 2.1 or lower. It took second place in a performance test right behind the Nexus One on Android 2.2 and right above the Samsung Galaxy S which took third place.

Yes you read the title right, more details on T-Mobile’s "Project Emerald" are starting to leak. Although, none of the recent information has been confirmed by T-Mobile, this bit of information comes from a few very reliable sources. Tmonews (which is usually dead on regarding T-Mobile stories) and Phonedog are reporting that the device that’s going to head project emerald is the “Sidekick Twist”.
