GameStick announces Ubisoft partnership

The success or failure of a platform often comes down to available apps. Or in this case, available games. And based on that, it looks like the folks at GameStick have taken another step forward. GameStick has announced a new partnership with Ubisoft. And slightly better, Ubisoft titles will be available shortly.

Android desperately wants to encroach on your living room TV, but how that’s going to be accomplished is not yet known. With Chromecast, supporting apps like Netflix can stream content from your Android device. Rumors of Android TV have yet to pan out. Miracast is lost in the shuffle, seemingly defeated by the advent of Google’s $35 dongle. Then there is Android gaming, a sector that has just started taking shape, and is seeing rapid expansion.

GameStick Dock clears the FCC

The GameStick, which is a bit late to the Android game console race, has an ace up its sleeve. While many considered the Dongle/controller combo a bit underwhelming, it did score points for being compact and portable. It didn’t seem to excite those who enjoy a more plugged-in experience, but that’s all changed.
