Gameloft Bringing Their First Unreal Engine Game to Android
Gameloft, creator of exceedingly fancy mobile games, has announced that their first game developed using the Unreal Engine, "March of Heroes," will be making it's way to Android. Gameloft has been really churning out the Android games lately, such as the recently announced 9mm. They have even been announced to have an exclusive store bundled with the Evo 3D. Now they're bringing a new FPS using the power of Unreal's gaming engine.

Gameloft Posts Trailer for Upcoming 9mm Game for Android [NSFW]
Sony Ericsson just announced several new games coming exclusively to their Xperia Play, but obviously Gameloft has some plans to bring insane console grade games to other devices as well. "9mm" is Gameloft's Grand Theft Auto-esque shooter coming to Android (as well as other less awesome smartphones). The game looks to be intense, and shows off some truly impressive graphics. Check out the trailer below, but be warned, its got a bit of a dirty mouth.

Good news! Gameloft has modified their DRM policy to allow you to re-download purchased games when you get a new Android device. Previously, you would need to go through customer service to accomplish this feat. No more.

AT&T 3rd Party App Installation Activation Official
It appears that AT&T have listened to the millions and billions of cries from the republic to take the hold off the option to sideload apps. Up until now, AT&T phones running Android were not allowed the same option that other carriers kept available, that being the ability to install applications from sources other than the Android Market. All that changed, it seems, when the Infuse 4G was released into the wild less than a month ago. It's been confirmed here by a mail that's being sent out to AT&T developers saying that this change will be standard through the future.

N.O.V.A 2 for Android finally released for some phones
It looks like we have more Gameloft related news for you today. I'm pretty excited to tell you that Gameloft has finally released N.O.V.A 2 the follow up to the first game that was extremely popular on Android and iOS. Sadly it is only sort of available. What do I mean by that? I tried to get it for my Nexus One, My G2x, and my Motorola Xoom and it is not out for any of them. It isn't available for the EVO, or the Droid 2, yet the Droid X (same hardware as Droid 2) can get NOVA 2. It really is confusing and I don't like it.

Gameloft’s Modern Combat 2 available on the Android Market
For those that may not know, most of the popular Android games made by the popular developers Gameloft do not get released to the Android Market. Most are only available from their own online store, especially when they are some of the more popular releases like Modern Combat. Today just that has happened, Gameloft is offering the latest first person shooter in the Android Market and it is available now.

New Xperia Play Backstab game Ad pops up [Video]
Imagine if the Star Wars: The Force Unleashed took place during the 18th century in the Caribbean. That's the vibe behind Gamaeloft's "Backstab," which we reported last month was coming to the Sony-Ericcson Xperia Play exclusively for the first month or so. A new video of Backstab's game play has surfaced telling more about the back story. Backstab casts the gamer as character Henry Blake, a former British naval officer unjustly imprisoned for treason and has escaped to go on a mission of vengeance.

FastFive Game Trailer launched by Gameloft
Gameloft has released a trailer for Fast Five: The Movie: The Official Game. And man, for a mobile 3D app, the graphics quality is awesome. The trailer shows a wide variety of racers and courses and some really thrilling explosions. It makes me think that the game is probably going to be more entertaining than the movie itself.

GameLoft to distribute games through Amazon [Updated]
GameLoft has announced that they've hitched their wagon to the Amazon AppStore for Android and will be distributing their games. Citing security and piracy concerns, GameLoft stated that they want their users to be confident that the games they download aren't being co-opted with malware, which has afflicted the Android Marketplace lately. Additionally, GameLoft stated DRM as another reason to go with Amazon as a distribution partner. Considering that Amazon will be putting strict controls and must approve every app for listing is a compelling and attractive reason, but let's not forget the large pond that Amazon enjoys. Although not as large as the Android Marketplace, the online portal has launched with over 3,800 titles out of the box, its one-click eco system makes purchasing apps both secure and easy.
