Asphalt 6 updated with new cars and improved visuals

Who's ready for some more high speed action packed racing? The popular game Asphalt 6 has surprisingly been updated today in the Google Play Store from the folks at Gameloft. They produce some awesome games, but aren't too big on updates so I'm excited to see one of the best racing games on Android getting an update. The new Audi is awesome too.

Gameloft plans in-app purchases and social features for all 2012 games

Gameloft is one of few companies that qualifies as a top-tier game publisher in the Android realm, and it looks like they've got big plans for all of their upcoming games. Plans of a very specific nature: PocketGamer reports that Gameloft will be placing in-app purchases in every game it releases for the remainder of the year, on every platform, for both smartphones and tablets. The company made the announcement during its financial report, adding that all its upcoming games will also have social elements.

Men In Black III game coming to Android from Sony and Gameloft

Recently mobile games have really been taking off, but to partner with a game developer and release it on the same day as a major movie just seems like a good idea. The popular and highly anticipated Men in Black III is coming to theaters on May 25th. Along with the release will be a game designed and released by Gameloft for Android.

Gameloft LIVE! for Android: Custom avatar, game deals and more

Do you like Gameloft games? If you do then you'll want to check out the new Gameloft LIVE! for Android. The idea is plenty familiar and so is the name (Xbox LIVE! anyone). They've brought together gaming, deals, and social all into one application similar to Xbox Live or OpenFeint to name a few. Instead this will be all about Gameloft complete with personalized avatars, game discounts and more.

We're here with this week's wrap-up to bring a those of you that may have missed a few days back up to speed! Monday, some analytics displayed that an overwhelming amount of US Android users prefer Samsung over any other carrier. It isn't too hard to believe that Samsung is currently the most preferred smartphone brand, as their Galaxy S II line has dominated since it launched. Early on that same day, we saw that Asian cellphone carrier KDDI had incorporated pushed ads into Android's notification bar. I'm sure you will all agree, this clearly crosses the line.
