Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 gets another Hands-On [video]
Today we have another hands-on for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 that we can't wait to see more of. We posted a short video back earlier this month of the 8.9 you can see that here. This next video below is not in English, so it is just for your viewing pleasure but any android fan should understand it, and probably wish they could show these "hands-on" guys how the multi-tasking system works on 3.0 Honeycomb, as they seem confused.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 7 getting Android 2.3.3 update in Italy
The Samsung Galaxy Tab is a nice little tablet by most standards. The device has a nice screen even if that screen might be too small for some users that are more apt to want the larger 10-inch screen that are on tablets like the iPad and others. One of the biggest complaints of some users about the Tab is the older version of the Android OS that the machine uses. The Tab shipped with Android 2.2 onboard. I am sure that a lot of users were hoping that the Android 3.0 update make it to the Galaxy Tab soon. Before the 3.0 update comes, Samsung has upped the OS to Gingerbread.

Exclusive: Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Hands-On and Unboxing by Vic Gundotra
Well what do you know? We've got no less than Sr Vice President of Engineering at Google Vic Gundotra unboxing the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 for us, right in front of your eyeballs. This took place early in the day during Google I/O 2011, right after the gigantic 50 minute keynote speech that included everything from a new movie rental service to the logo for Ice Cream Sandwich. And of course it played host to the announcement that everyone in attendance (Oprah Moment) would be getting a free Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 for free! Have a look at how Vic thinks it feels and marvel at the beauty!

The Amazon Tablet is a rumor that refuses to die
DigiTimes is reporting that Taiwan based Quanta Computer has received a monthly order from Amazon for up to 800,000 tablet PCs at peak production. The tablets are expected to ship in the second half of 2011, making an Amazon Tablet ready to hit the market just in time for the holidays. Quanta is no stranger to tablets, being an OEM partner for both RIM and Sony. So, is it a credible rumor? Well, the touch screens are expected to be made by E Ink Holdings, which provides the screens on the Kindle. They use an electrophoretic display supported by Fringe Field Switching technology, which is just a fancy way of saying they've got great color gamut and bright, bold colors, according to Wiki.

WiFi Only Galaxy Tab 7″ hardware differs from 3G model

WiFi Only Galaxy Tab 7″ hardware differs from 3G model
This looks like nothing but bad news, according to some pretty unhappy users over at the XDA forums it looks like the WiFi-Only Samsung Galaxy Tab (original 7" model) has been downgraded on more than just a few things. It is much less than just a Galaxy Tab with no 3G radio inside. This has nothing to do with the upcoming 8.9" or 10" but it is disturbing news either way. Users are reporting it to have different hardware inside all together, with Samsung never mentioning this that is not cool. Weaker GPU that performs much worse in gaming, video playback taking a huge hit with that as well, even lack of HDMI features and more.

HBO to GO now in the Android Market
A few weeks back, we reported that HBO to GO would be coming to the Android Market. The we didn't know when it would be coming to Android, although it was strongly hinted at May 2nd in their commercials. Well, HBO has released it early and the app is now live. Users who subscribe to the PayTV service can download it to most Android devices.

Samsung Galaxy Tab WIFI only finally for sale starting April 10th
What do we have here, it looks as if Samsung has finally decided to sell the Wifi only version of the Samsung Galaxy Tab. Yea that 7" slate that was released a long time ago that we never got a wifi version of, yup that is the one. A little late IMO, but better than never I guess. Samsung has just officially announced it will be up for sale starting April 10th (in 4 days) at multiple outlets and online sites.

ViewSonic G-Tablet Dual Core Android Tab is $279 at woot.com today only
Look what I just found, how exciting. This is the Vewisonic G-Tablet. it is an Android 2.2 tablet with a 10.1" LCD Display, front facing camera, and the highly popular Dual Core Tegra 2 Processor inside. It is extremely fast and runs very well. It has some custom user interface over android that is pretty crappy, but over at XDA there is tons and tons of development for this. It was the first Tegra 2 tablet released. This is a screaming deal for someone in need of a cheap tablet that isn't a china knockoff. For sale now at woot.com

Samsung Galaxy Devices Reveal Silicon Art [WARNING]

Samsung Galaxy Devices Reveal Silicon Art [WARNING]
There's a few places that are really great to put a warning on a device. As a manufacturer, you can put a warning on the box of a bit of technology, just so long as that warning isn't going to tell the user about a possible blast into the ear. If there is going to be a blast into the ear of the user, the user would probably be better off having the warning about the blast be on the device itself. Sometimes there's another place for a warning, and that's deep within the device, under all the plastic, under all the metal. This is sometimes also known as Silicon Art.

Samsung Galaxy Tab copies Apple saying PC has evolved
Today Samsung Mobile has just released a new commercial for the Samsung Galaxy Tab. Ya know, that tablet that sold 2 million units that Sammy later backtracked to say sold much less. Don't get me wrong, it's a great little device, very portable and fun. It has an amazing screen but it was just to much money to sell in large numbers off contract.
