The Samsung GALAXY S 4 has received the TCO certification. Perhaps key here, the GALAXY S 4 marks the first smartphone to achieve such a certification. A bit of background on the TCO certification, this actually comes by way of TCO Development and it touches on sustainability certification for IT products. In this case, the GALAXY S 4 was awarded the certification for eco-friendliness.

Samsung GALAXY S 4 ‘Google Edition’ is real

Some last minute rumors surfaced late yesterday afternoon and it looks like they have since been proven accurate. The rumor was dealing with a GALAXY S 4 running vanilla Android, and well, that handset has just been announced. The device is dubbed the Samsung GALAXY S 4 Google Edition and it will be available beginning next month.

Apple looking to include the GALAXY S 4 in upcoming patent trial

The fighting between Samsung and Apple has been ongoing for sometime now. While things have been relatively quiet recently, it looks like both companies are preparing for the next phase, which will be taking place next year. Specifically, the trial will continue in March of 2014. In the meantime though, both Samsung and Apple have recently submitted an updated device list. At present each of the lists contain 22 devices.

Samsung GALAXY S 4 Active with rugged design appears headed towards AT&T

Details of a rugged version of the GALAXY S 4 have leaked in the past and while we have yet to see an official announcement from Samsung, it is now looking like the device will be coming to AT&T. This latest round of leaked details hasn't included a possible release time frame with AT&T, but it was said the GALAXY S 4 Active will be carrying the model number of SGH-I537. The previous leaks suggested the Active would be arriving in July.

AT&T adds the black HTC One, 32GB GALAXY S 4 and LG Optimus G Pro

AT&T has a few new smartphone additions as of today. Or maybe more specific, AT&T has some updated models from earlier releases available as of today. The news includes the GALAXY S 4 which is now available in a 32GB model as well as the Stealth Black version of the HTC One and the LG Optimus G Pro. Anyway, as these are simply additions to previous releases, the specs and pricing may sound familiar to some.
