began receiving Jelly Bean yesterday, however while we had been seeing reports from users, we hadn't seen a changelog with all the specifics of the update. With that in mind, that changelog has since been posted by Samsung and it looks like it contains all the expected features.
Galaxy S 4 hot in the news and on everyone's mind, not to mention Android 4.3 Jelly Bean coming soon, some will be happy to know their aging Galaxy S II is getting an update this week. AT&T updated their newer Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket to Android 4.1 back in April, but sadly the original GS II was left out, until today.
Jelly Bean for the Galaxy S II back in February. The good news as of today, that update is now available for those with T-Mobile. The carrier has detailed the update process and two things stand out as needing to be known -- the update is large and it is not available over-the-air.
T-Mobile has detailed the latest software updates for the Galaxy S III and the Galaxy S II smartphones. Samsung's highly popular Galaxy S II to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean have been delayed. We can't technically call it delayed since it wasn't announced, but previous reports had them coming before the end of the year and then delayed into early 2013. Back in December we mentioned they'd arrive in early 2013, and now reports have surfaced claiming the updates will start in February.
AT&T has announced an update for the Galaxy S2. This latest update is available over-the-air and by way of Kies and will bring the device up to Android 4.0.4. And while this is just a small bump up from the 4.0.3 you are already running, it does have a few changes worth mentioning.
Jelly Bean updates for the Samsung Galaxy S III lately, and all the while, the large number of Galaxy S II owners have been waiting patiently for news of their update. We've got some news to share with you today courtesy of the folks over at SamMobile, but unfortunately it isn't good. It would appear that the Jelly Bean update for the Galaxy S II won't arrive until sometime in 2013, so owners still have a bit of wait ahead of them.
