Samsung Galaxy S II Review [T-Mobile]

Today on the chopping block we have the brand new Samsung Galaxy S II headed to T-Mobile. Just like its twin brothers it has an amazing design that is thin and lightweight, but we also have a different, faster 1.5 GHz dual-core processor and a huge 4.52" Super AMOLED display here. We all know plenty about the amazing Galaxy S II superphone already but I'll be comparing it to the new Amaze 4G also on T-Mobile and running a few benchmarks, for now I'll just jump right into the pictures and video for everyone to enjoy.

Welcome back to the 20th issue of Android Community Weekly! We finally have have a quick video demonstration of Android 2.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich) in action, Amazon has realized an amazingly affordable tablet, and more devices continue to emerge before this holiday season. T-Mobile recently announced their version of the Galaxy S II to launch October 10th for $229. Though, more expensive than the Galaxy S II Epic Touch 4G on the "Now" network, it hopefully ships without many of the Epic Touch overheating problems.

While all variants of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S II are running on a 1.2 Ghz dual-core processor made in house by Samsung known as the Exynos SOC. New details have now confirmed what was previously just a rumor that the T-Mobile version will in fact be running with a different processor from the rest of the pack.

AT&T also has their own Galaxy S II to show off today and we were able to snatch a few photos and a quick video before they threw it back under the glass. I've wrote Galaxy S II so much today I think I'll just say SGSII from here on out. So, AT&T will be launching the SGSII come September 18th and be just a few days behind the others, but don't worry it will be yours with a new 2-year contract for only $199.

Samsung Confirms Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch

Well guys it appears this is a bit more official after this. Samsung has confirmed the Galaxy S II with 4G WiMAX and it will be called the Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch on their online training site. I must say that is a HUGE name for a smartphone and it really is just way too long. I'll be calling it the SGSIIE4GT for short, if you call that short.

Samsung Epic Touch 4G Coming September 9th?

Some new sources are now claiming we will see the Samsung Epic Touch 4G hit the market over on the now network in yellow as soon as September 9th. The Epic Touch 4G will be the Samsung Galaxy S II for the WiMax carrier and the 4G in the name is a pretty good indication it will have those fast speeds to go along with it. We first heard about the Epic Touch 4G a few weeks ago and now it might only be a few more weeks wait til we actually see it hit the shelves.
