Samsung frequently uses celebrities in its smartphone ads, and the company's latest one for the Galaxy Note II is no different. This time around, the ad features Miami Heat superstar LeBron James. The ad shows us a day in the life of the basketball player, as he uses the Galaxy Note II to exchange messages, take pictures, and send out videos of those tasty dunks.

Verizon Galaxy Note II leak shows November 29th launch date

The Samsung Galaxy Note II is looking to be a popular smartphone this holiday season, but one of the biggest carriers in the states isn't being too open about when we can expect it to arrive. With T-Mobile's Note II already available now, we were hoping to know more about Verizon's plans by now. Yesterday they opened pre-orders for the phablet, but didn't give an official release date.

T-Mobile Galaxy Note II capable of 4G LTE – could come in future update

The popular Samsung Galaxy Note II is officially available here in the US from the folks at T-Mobile, with other carriers coming soon. We've already been enjoying their new "faux 4G" HSPA+ capable smartphone for a few days but now we're hearing of a little surprise under the hood of the Note II. It looks like the T-Mobile Galaxy Note II could in fact support their upcoming 4G LTE network.

Need for Speed: Most Wanted hits Android October 30th – same day as consoles

EA Games Need for Speed franchise is extremely popular both on consoles, as well as mobile devices. PS3 and Xbox users around the globe are excited to get their hands on Need for Speed: Most Wanted come October 30th, and it also appears the game will launch the same day for Android. Verizon brands the Galaxy Note II home button with logo

We have some excellent yet terrible news this afternoon regarding the Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note II. For one, it's indeed coming soon, possibly with pre-orders starting tonight according to rumors. Then the bad news. The Verizon Galaxy Note II will be plastered with Verizon and 4G LTE logos. Verizon's logo will be on back as usual, then front and center right on the dedicated home button.

We've already heard plenty about the Samsung Galaxy Note II's features, and our friends over at SlashGear have given it a full review telling us what they think (spoiler: they're quite fond of it), but it appears that Samsung has a few more details up its sleeve. The company will be holding a press event in New York City on October 24 for the Galaxy Note II, which is an event we've known about for a little while.
