E-ink isn't something you often see associated with smartphones. There have been some exceptions to that rule with a few notable mentions coming in as the dual-screen YotaPhone and the popSLATE case which is only available for the iPhone 5. Well, coming by way of Gajah International it looks like those with a Galaxy Note II or GALAXY S 4 may soon have an option available for purchase.

Verizon Galaxy Note II price drops by $100

We have been seeing more and more talk of the Galaxy Note 3 lately, however it looks like Verizon has just given a reason to pay attention to the currently available Galaxy Note II. That reason, or more specifically, the 100 reasons have arrived in the form of a price cut. Simply put, Verizon Wireless has slashed the price of the Galaxy Note II and the handset is now sitting at $199.99.

Verizon Galaxy Note II Android 4.1.2 update detailed

Verizon Wireless has detailed the latest Galaxy Note II software update. This update will bring the device up to Android 4.1.2, which brings with it "several" security related patches. The changelog is on the long side and details several device enhancements as well as application improvements and even the removal of a previously pre-installed app.

T-Mobile has had their UNcarrier announcement this morning and as we have seen -- it included details on LTE devices and LTE coverage as well as plans and even a brief mention of the upcoming advertising campaign. The intent here is to focus on the Android devices with LTE support, but we will mention that the advertising campaign will be western themed.

Remember when I said that Samsung Galaxy Note II users are getting a plethora of good news today? Well add this onto the list. A Note II tipster has leaked an Android OS update schedule for several devices. Under the "To get Android 5.0" list, it shows that Samsung Galaxy Note II and Note II LTE owners will be updated to Android's latest OS in the future. Unfortunately the same can't be said for its predecessor, the original Samsung Galaxy Note.
