Galaxy Nexus gets ClockworkMod Recovery with on-screen touch controls
This shouldn't really come as a huge surprise to most folks and I've been wanting something like this for a while now. Being able to control my recovery with the Nexus One ball or myTouch 4G trackpad it was only a matter of time before someone made on-screen touch controls like Ice Cream Sandwich. That is exactly what we have here -- ClockworkMod Recovery Touch Alpha.

2-click Windows root and unlock method developed for the Galaxy Nexus
As far as we're concerned, if you went out and bought a Samsung Galaxy Nexus on launch day, you have a responsibility to unlock that bootloader, root Android and get cracking with some custom mods and ROMs. Even though the process isn't terribly difficult, there are a good number of steps and checks, and not everyone is up for the challenge. Those of you who have been holding off for an easier method can thank "WugFresh" at GalaxyNexusForum.com, who's developed an easy Windows application that automates every step of the unlock process on Windows.

NFL Mobile updated to support Android 4.0 — just in time for Playoffs [Update]
For all those that happily ran out and purchased a Samsung Galaxy Nexus from Verizon that quickly learned the popular NFL Mobile app exclusive to Verizon (that is free for 4G LTE phones) didn't support your device, I have some good news for you today. After reporting the app would be updated 2 weeks ago sadly that never happened but today is finally the day and Verizon has just issued an update bringing Android 4.0 support -- but there's a catch.

Verizon Galaxy Nexus is only $229 from Wirefly
We waited and waited for what seemed like forever for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus to hit the shelves with big red's 4G LTE speeds and since then I haven't heard much. I know almost everyone here ran out and picked one up, or hit Costco for their small savings. Wirefly has the Verizon Galaxy Nexus for just $229 -- a cool $70 cheaper than Verizon.

MIUI custom ROM is ready for the Galaxy Nexus
New Galaxy Nexus owners: this is what you waited for. As developer devices, the Nexus phones get pretty much all the desirable custom ROMs out there, and now you can download the popular MIUI ROM for Google's favorite son. Different builds for the GSM and CDMA Galaxy Nexus are available over at XDA, both compiled from the official MIUI source code from popular ROM developer DroidVicious.

Samsung Galaxy Nexus (LTE) Review
Well, it's finally here. Google's official developer phone for Ice Cream Sandwich has reached American shores with Verizon as its official launch partner, for better or worse. Like the two Nexus phones before it, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus will set the bar for Android smartphones over the next year. The only question is, how high will that bar be?

Samsung designers reveal the inspiration behind the Galaxy Nexus
There's at least one thing that hardware manufacturers are inspired by: making so much money that they have to sell more phones to make room in the warehouse for a fleet of Bentleys. But the Galaxy Nexus enjoys a design that's fairly unique, between its curved construction and its deliberately spartan layout. So what was the inspiration behind the shape? If you said "taking a Galaxy S II and bending it like a Pringles chip," you'd only be half right: according to the company design blog, the curved shape is meant to recall the outline of a floating magnolia flower petal.

Verizon claims Galaxy Nexus LTE signal is fine, update still coming to change meter
This is interesting. Verizon has now released what appears to be official statement to the crew over at The Verge basically saying that their new Samsung Galaxy Nexus with 4G LTE has zero signal or service performance issues like many (us included) have reported. They go on to mention it just reports the signal bars different and will change the meter in a future update.

Google wishes the Android Community a Happy Holidays [Video]
Tis the season to be jolly right? Google has just released another awesome video similar to their Halloween edition but this time wishing everyone a Happy Holidays and showing us just how fun it would be to work for Google. I could explain this awesome video, or the fact that all the Motorola XOOM's are running Ice Cream Sandwich but I'll just let you enjoy it for yourself.
