Galaxy Nexus sales ban reversed by appeals court

If you thought Apple had the last laugh, or that these lawsuit court battles were over you were wrong. Today the US Court of Appeals has overturned the preliminary injunction that banned the sales of Samsung's Galaxy Nexus smartphone. This is just one small step for Samsung, but good news indeed for both them and Android as a whole.

Today a screenshot has appeared from the extremely popular online retailer Carphone Warehouse that is causing a bit of a stir on both accounts mentioned above.

So Google Wallet has never officially been available for Verizon, on any smartphone. However for months now users have been able to side-load Google's awesome Wallet app for mobile NFC payments using the web store, or installing a custom ROM. Today however it appears that Google's pulled the backend plug.

We have some excellent news for all those enjoying the popular Samsung Galaxy Nexus up in Canada. It looks like the flagship Nexus device is finally getting the much anticipated and awaited update to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. Google announced it back in June and said it would arrive mid July -- which it did for the international version. Carrier branded models sadly have waited a bit longer and Verizon's is completely missing in action.

When Google announced Android 4.1 Jelly Bean they stated multiple devices would be getting upgraded to the latest and greatest around mid July. While the Galaxy Nexus was listed everyone knows Verizon likes to take their sweet time. Now it's nearly September and we still don't have Jelly Bean. Don't worry thought because late last night it leaked and is now available to all.

Verizon Galaxy Nexus dropped to $99 – still waits for Jelly Bean

The week is starting off rather nice with Verizon announcing their Samsung Galaxy Nexus (LTE) will be dropped down to just $99 with a new 2-year contract. This marks the lowest Verizon has sold the Google experience device for, and is a pretty solid deal. We've seen low prices like this before but not directly from the folks at Verizon.

Right now the update is rolling out as we speak and as long as you don't have the Verizon Galaxy Nexus, you can enjoy the latest and greatest from Google.
