Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro tablet releases at $1299
Qualcomm has officially released its newest tablet aimed squarely at developers, the Snapdragon S4 Pro Mobile Development Platform. The new tablet makes use of Qualcomm's new quad-core chipset, the APQ8064, which will help deliver the power developers require. That power isn't going to be cheap, however, as the Snapdragon S4 Pro will set you back $1299.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 ad targets business professionals
Ready for some more Galaxy Note 10.1 media? Samsung has released a new 30 second spot for the incoming tablet, and it's aimed squarely at business professionals, with the company obviously hoping to grab a larger percentage of that market thanks to the Galaxy Note 10.1's included stylus. Indeed, the stylus is essentially the main focus of this advertisement, with our clean-cut business hero using it to collect signatures, draw graphs, and give his boss an impromptu presentation on all that he's accomplished in the last 30 seconds.

Huawei delivers new MediaPad 10 promotional video ahead of launch
We're no strangers to promotional videos for feature-rich tablets, but this new video for Huawei's MediaPad 10 FHD tablet might just take the cake. Not only is the MediaPad 10 itself something to get excited about, but there's just something about its new promotional video that leaves us feeling at peace. Perhaps it's the soothing background music or the serene images of flower petals floating in the wind. Then again, it may be that 10.1-inch 1920 x 1200 IPS LCD display. Whatever it is, it's totally working.

Samsung to make ‘major’ Galaxy announcement next month
Samsung has informed everyone that it's planning to make a major Galaxy-related announcement on August 15. Naturally, we don't know what this announcement is - that would take all the fun out of it - but our friends at SlashGear are guessing that it has something to do with the Galaxy Tab or the Galaxy Note. Since Samsung just released the Galaxy S III in May, we're tempted to agree.

Android telepresence robot Botiful introduced on Kickstarter
Move over OUYA, because today we've got another Android-based Kickstarter to talk about. Its name is Botiful, and its looking to infuse a little personality into those Skype video calls you make with your Android phone. Botiful is being touted as the "first consumer telepresence robot," and by docking an Android phone on the robot (and using the special Skype interface), it allows users on the other end to choose what they're looking at. For example, if you're talking to someone who is using a Botiful, you're given control over their robot, so you can remotely control what the robot does and who the focus is on.

Steve Wozniak shows us his travel bag full of gadgets – Android included
If you're like me you probably carry around more than one or two gadgets on a daily basis. Between multiple phones, an extra battery, and usual a tablet I do pretty well -- but nothing compared to some. Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak decided to share with the world what all he carries around when he travels. His travel bag must be pretty darn big because he packs an arsenal of gadgets.

Archos 35 home connect now available
It has been a long time since June when SlashGear went hands-on with the Archos 35. Honestly, we had expected the thing to be here before now. If you have been counting the days until you could get your hands on the device, it is now available at retail. If you don’t remember what the thing was all about, I doubt you are alone considering it has been about half a year since we fiddled with the gadget.

Motorola Kore isn’t a tablet after all :(
We were excited at the thought of the Kore that was tipped in a bunch of domain registrations a few days back. We hoped the Kore was going to be a new tablet. The cat is out of the bag now and we know for sure what the Kore is, and it is not a tablet. The Kore is a fitness gadget that sits on a watchband and monitors things about you and your workout.

Most Students suffer from Smartphone Withdrawl Study Finds
According to a recent study, students who have had their smartphones taken away from them for even a few hours will begin to suffer from withdrawal symptoms that may rival those of smokers or even drug addicts. The study, which focused on young people aged 17-23 in ten countries around the world found that 79 per cent of students who volunteered for a complete media blackout from cellphones, computers and the internet, social networks and even television experienced reactions ranging from distress to confusion and isolation. Students were allowed to use the phone, read, and even have one on one conversations, but found it difficult initially due to feelings of withdrawal.
