G2x users, if you thought LG and T-Mobile forgot about you we have some potentially good news. It appears they have prepped an update and it's rolling out now for your Tegra 2 dual-core powered G2x smartphone. No, this isn't Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, but an update is an update right? LG G2x or the Optimus 2x we have some good news today. The awesome developer Ricardo Cerqueira who brought us CM7 to both devices has been working hard and has just released CyanogenMod 9 Ice Cream Sandwich builds for both dual-core Tegra 2 phones. Hurray! Ricardo has been sharing all the details and progress over on his Google+ page.
T-Mobile G2x users weren't so lucky. Thanks to some porting of the official MIUI for the Optimus 2x users of the LG G2x can now enjoy the same awesome ROM. Other than CyanogenMod, MIUI is one of the most popular ROM's available and I'm sure many will be happy to give this a try.
