In case you missed the crazy announcements earlier this morning, Verizon and Motorola revealed three brand new DROID smartphones to grace the big red network. Full of Android 4.2, gesture and voice controls, and 4G LTE the new DROID Mini, ULTRA, and DROID MAXX are available come August 20th. One important "deal" they briefly mentioned we wanted to highlight was the free Google Music All Access subscription.

Amazon is getting ready to release a pair of smartphones, and even an audio-streaming device of some kind, new tips suggests, and one of those smartphones will even feature 3D. It's time to fire up those Kindle smartphone rumors again guys. Apparently the high-end Amazon smartphone will use eye-tracking and glasses-free 3D, among other things, for hands-free usage and much more.

NYC adds cell and WiFi service to 36 more Subway stations

In an effort to have all Subway stations completely wired by 2016, the MTA has announced that around 36 stations are getting smartphone cell service and WiFi access in New York City. More than 8.5 million daily subway riders will be happy to learn that they'll have complete wireless service deep underground at more than 30 new locations. Time to check Twitter and Facebook on the Subway.

ZTE Director launches on US Cellular for those on a budget

Evernote fires back at Keep, signs partnership with Deutsche Telekom
