Latest Adobe Flash exploit puts Android Devices at risk.

The critical zero day flaw in Adobe Flash which Adobe revealed this week has been confirmed to be able to target Android phones and devices. This is the second exploit in just a week that is currently able to infect the Android platform. So far this is proving to be a very widespread cross-platform vulnerability that is currently actively being exploited against Flash Player.

Verizon OTA Android 2.2 Froyo update for Droid Incredible is out now

Verizon has confirmed to us that the Android 2.2 Froyo update for the HTC Droid Incredible has begun going out today as an OTA update.  The updated ROM will not only upgrade the Droid Incredible's core OS but add in the Adobe Flash Player 10.1 together with 3G mobile hotspot functionality and add 720p HD video recording to the smartphone's camera. The update is going out OTA rather than as a download, so you may have to wait a while before you get the on-device alert to say it's ready for installation.  We'd recommend using a WiFi connection to download it, too, rather than cellular data.  Unfortunately there's no way to artificially prompt the update, Verizon tells us; patience is a virtue, we guess.  There's more information on the update here.

Motorola DROID gets Flash Player 10.1 update

Verizon has just pinged us to let us know that DROID owners should expect an OTA update sometime from today, that will allow them to download and install the Adobe Flash Player 10.1 app from the Android Market.  That means access to in-browser Flash animations, videos and games. You'll need to be running Android 2.2 in order to install Flash Player 10.1, which Verizon began distributing to owners of the original DROID earlier this month.
"Verizon Wireless has begun pushing an update  today to the DROID by Motorola (introduced November 2009) that will  allow customers to download Adobe Flash 10.1 via Android Market. Flash Player 10.1 provides access to millions of sites  with rich content including animations, casual games, videos, rich internet  applications, audio and much more."

Adobe’s FlashTime Brings Peer-to-Peer Video Calling to Android Soon

So, video calling is a big thing now a days. With Apple's own variation out and about, and the EVO 4G doing quite well for itself with its own front-facing camera, and considering there's still more devices coming down the pipeline with the hardware, we can figure that a lot of companies out there are going to want to get into the action. Adobe is no different. And, after titling their new software platform FlashTime, we imagine that they're obviously just going for the jugular here. We welcome the fight.

Droid 2 Finally Exposed – Video

Up until now all we’ve seen of the droid 2 is a blurry picture that didn’t even show the entire front of the device. Now we finally get a clear look at the full handset. There’s even a video of the boot screen and you can clearly see that it has a full QWERTY keyboard. It looks almost identical to the original droid that we all know and love.

Dell Streak Has Been Rooted?

The answer is yes, it has been rooted. Paul, better known as Modaco, has done it again. Shortly after being released in the UK, he has managed to root the Streak in seemingly record time. This tablet was just released yesterday and it was rooted the same day. At least this time the product actually made into the market. He rooted a few handsets before they was even released to the public.

HTC EVO: Froyo Port – Video

Altek Leo 14MP Android with HD video and optical zoom?

Ok I’ll be the first to say it, all these high megapixel cameras on cell phones are ridiculous and I love it. Altek announced the first 14 megapixel camera phone, it’s called the Leo and it could come equipped with Android. If this does in fact turn out to be an Android phone, it will without a doubt have the best camera available on any Android device, maybe even the best camera on any phone in general.
