Tribesports Training app arrives for Android

There are plenty of options for fitness-tracking apps. Android users have more than a few including RunKeeper and Endomondo, and as of today there is another available. This latest comes courtesy of Tribesports and is called Tribesports Training, which brings the promise of being able to do "much more than the other sports apps available."

Jawbone UP 3.0 app update adds UP24 Bluetooth sync

Jawbone has released v3.0 of the UP app for Android. This latest release of the UP app is available by way of the Play Store, and ultimately, this means the UP24 lifestyle tracker is now available to Android users. The data collected by the UP24 will sync wirelessly with your Android device, using a Bluetooth connection.

Endomondo update adds Bluetooth LE, lock screen widget, more

We're pretty big fans of what Runkeeper has been doing, however that also means we may not have been paying as close attention to another fitness tracking app. This other is Endomondo and an update has recently landed in the Play Store. A rather nice update at that, one that includes Bluetooth LE support for heart-rate monitors.

Samsung S-Circle wearable spotted with FCC

Samsung introduced a few wearables during Mobile World Congress, and it looks like another has recently been revealed by way of an FCC filing. This latest, still not yet announced by Samsung, is dubbed the S-Circle. Details coming from the filing have this listed as model number EI-AN900A and being described as an "activity tracker."

RunKeeper update brings increased focus on training plans

An updated version of the RunKeeper app has recently arrived in the Play Store. This one brings the app to version 4.4, and with key changes that deal with the 'Me' tab, and also a new 'Training' tab. The Me tab was originally introduced in an earlier update, and once this update has been installed, users will be able to view all the specifics including workout history, stats, and more.

Sony SmartBand and Lifelog Camera: hands-on from MWC 2014

We saw a preview of the Sony wearables back in January, during CES. And nicely, Sony was prepared to offer a bit more this time around. Coming out of MWC 2014, there was some hands-on time with the Sony SmartBand SWR10. This is a Bluetooth dongle at the moment, and will be paired with the Smart Lifelog Camera companion setup.

Samsung Gear Fit hands-on

Samsung already tipped its hand on the Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo smartwatches, but there's a third wearable for MWC 2014, the Samsung Gear Fit. The first of Samsung's smart wrist-wear to include a curved AMOLED display, the Gear Fit's touchscreen comes in at 1.84-inches and an unusual, scrolling-ticker-like resolution of 432 x 128.
