Good news for all you myTouch 3G owners. You’re getting Android 2.2!!! This has recently been confirmed by T-Mobile that Froyo will be coming soon. There is currently no word on if the G1 will receive this update as well.
So far in the world of Android, the myTouch has been the most popular series of devices on the market. There are 3 versions available now including the hot “Fender Edition”. Soon, this slider will join the myTouch ranks at T-Mobile.
When this phone finally made its way into the market, it quickly sold-out within three weeks of its launch date. The wait for the second batch to arrive seems like an eternity for those of us that want one. Well, that way may be over very soon.

DoubleTwist is a popular way to sync your music, videos and pictures to your Android device. It is now being included in some Android handset, the myTouch 3G Fender Edition by T-Mobile being the first. There is now an update to the software that has a few nice upgrades, podcast being one.
Swype has just opened up a beta program for the Android platform. If you have a myTouch Fender Edition, you can go back to sleep now. But for the rest of us, head over to Swype Beta site and register to become a tester.
Looks like T-Mobile and Android have another popular device on their hands. The myTouch 3G Fender Editions flew through its initial shipment of 17,250 devices. Don’t worry, if you have not got yours there will be a second shipment of phone shortly.
If you already purchased these devices I hope you like it because you may be stuck with it. T-Mobile has unveiled its holiday season line of handsets today and one in particular has caught my eye. The device is a limited edition version of the myTouch 3G smartphone running Android. Unfortunately, all T-Mobile offered was a few specs on the device, no pictures are available.
