Virgin Mobile Custom now has app to manage controls

Do you remember the days when kids (and even teenagers) did not have mobile phones and had to wait until they were earning their own money to be able to get one? No? Well, believe us, that existed before, but now, kids as young as 5 are toting their own phones and tablets. Virgin Mobile Custom has allowed parents to exercise some semblance of control over their kids' devices, and now they're extending it by launching a free Android app to help manage the family lines.

T-Mobile expands Simple Choice family plans tablet options

T-Mobile is really upping the ante in the price and gadget wars with its competitors. A day after announcing that Simple Choice subscribers can upgrade their 500MB LTE data to 2GB, they’ve now expanded the Family Plan options by letting subscribers add a tablet to their plans. This means that one plan can now have up to ten lines, instead of the previously allotted five, as more families and businesses have need of more lines and gadgets as well.

T-Mobile Simple Choice plans arrive for families

T-Mobile announced the Simple Choice plans a while back and as of today -- they have been announced for families. Basically, T-Mobile has extended their UNcarrier approach to family accounts (in addition to individual accounts). This setup will be available in mid-July and include plans with unlimited talk, text and web with an additional 500MB of high-speed data included.

AT&T shared mobile data plans launch August 23rd

Today AT&T has shed a little more light and details on their shared mobile data plans for everyone. Announced last month by AT&T, following Verizon's similar launch, and now today they've gave everyone a release date. Users can select to move to shared data plans starting August 23rd from AT&T.

Yesterday the Verizon customers world was shattered when their CFO mentioned that all grandfathered unlimited data plans would be losing their precious data in favor of tiered shared data plans. With a huge outcry from the public today Verizon has released an official statement on the matter. While this doesn't fully clear things up, it shows they've noticed the outburst and are looking into how they'll handle the situation.
