This Limited Edition Silver Desire will be offered by Expansys, in fact you can order it now. We’ve seen this handset in brown, black and now this silver version. If this device peaks your interest, you may want to get your order in as soon as you can. They will start shipping them within the next few days.

Like the brown and black Desire, this has Android 2.1. It is a Sense UI device with a 1GHZ Snapdragon processor. There have been rumors that the Desire will receive Android 2.2 at the end of this month. That may not happen but it’s pretty much been confirmed by HTC that it will get 2.2 sometime in the future.

It will cost you £449.99 and will ship free and unlocked. This will surely go fast and probably will not be made available again. And given HTC latest stock shortage problem, this is a strong possibility. So head over to Expansys and place your order. You wouldn’t want to be left out in the cold would you?

Yesterday we showed you the XT720 by Motorola. Today you can preorder this handset from Expansys. This device will be shipped to you unlocked and SIM free, it should ship on the launch date, July 2nd, or maybe a few days early if you lucky.

Motorola XT720 is 10.9mm thick and features Android 2.1. It has an 8-megapixel autofocus camera with Xenon flash and 720p HD video recording, HDMI port, 3G/HSPA and a 3.7-inch capacitive touch screen. If you like the Droid but want an all touch device, this will fill that void all while offering a few upgrades.

If you remember, UK’s Expansys was the exclusive original launch partner for the first MILESTONE. This is a continuation of that relationship as no other site is currently accepting preorders of this new Android device. This is a great device and will give the Galaxy S a run for its money.

Feeling flush and reasonably patient? The HTC Legend and Desire, announced this week at Mobile World Congress 2010, have shown up for preorder at online retailer Expansys UK, complete with an expected Monday April 12th release date.

The Legend, which has a 3.2-inch HVGA AMOLED touchscreen, milled aluminum body and 5-megapixel camera, is priced at £399.99 ($627), while the HTC Desire, which has a 3.7-inch WVGA AMOLED touchscreen and is basically HTC’s own-brand version of the Google Nexus One, is priced at £449.99 ($706).

Both are sold unlocked and SIM-free; HTC told us at the launch event that just about all of the carriers in the target markets for the two devices were interested in offering both smartphones, so if you’re willing to sign up to a contract you can likely get one far cheaper upfront.

Expansys have become the next significant retailer to offer preorders for the HTC Hero, and their price comes in neatly below that of Amazon UK. Expansys are listing the Hero – in white, unlocked and SIM-free – for £399.99 in the UK or $649.99 in the US (without US 3G).

Expansys have become the next significant retailer to offer preorders for the HTC Hero, and their price comes in neatly below that of Amazon UK. Expansys are listing the Hero – in white, unlocked and SIM-free – for £399.99 in the UK or $649.99 in the US (without US 3G).

Don’t be misled by the seemingly more ambitious availability on Expansys’ listing, however. While they say the Hero is expected to launch in eight days, that’s not including weekends; in fact, it tallies with Amazon’s July 15th ship date estimate.

Still, it’s a little cheaper (and Expansys throw in £30 of their own gift vouchers, for accessories and the like) so if you’re not interested in Orange or T-Mobile‘s offers then it may be the easiest way to pick up a new Hero. More details about HTC’s latest Android smartphone in the video below.

[thanks Mario!]
