Remember this massively popular post which aimed to note every one of the vast collection of breaks that happened with the last EVO update? The folks responsible for said evil have been flogged, apparently, and a new update is floating across airwaves today. This update is marked 4.24.651.1 and should be coming across immediately if not soon. A full list of improvements and fixes can be found below, and you're sure as heck welcome to check out that original post to see if any of the problems you had in the past were amongst the common.

HTC EVO Gingerbread 2.3 build has just leaked

We have a little treat that just appeared. That treat is some Gingerbread cookies or some sort of Gingerbread. Yes you heard it right. Android 2.3 Gingerbread for the HTC EVO has just leaked. It has Sense UI and all, probably an insider source leak, so that is a good thing.

Thunderbolt and Evo 4G Gingerbread update in late June

Both the HTC Thunderbolt and Evo 4G are scheduled to receive a Gingerbread update in late June, according to an email exchange with an HTC representative. The rep was responding to a frustrated customer who vented about the lack of the update in Verizon's premiere 4G handset. The irony is, that Gingerbread has been out for over 4 months and most wireless handsets haven't updated to it. It's a common issue as updates have to go to the manufacturer, then be approved by the provider, before going to an over the air update.

HTC EVO 3D design prevents kickstand, but we have you covered

If you are like us and saw the unveiling and showcase of the amazing looking HTC EVO 3D this week you are probably as excited as us about this device. A beast by any measure coming to Sprint soon. The link above mentions all the specs so I'll spare all of that other than mentioning that it will probably sell as many or more than it's younger brother. This story we bring you news about the kickstand everyone loved on the EVO 4G. Sadly it will not be present on the 3D.

Motorola Atrix & Xoom headed to Sprint with WiMaX 4G [Rumor]

This is just a rumor for now, so don't get to excited. I will mention that this rumor is said to be coming from a reliable inside source. So take it as you will. Apparently Sprint plans to keep things going in the right direction. After the EVO 4G made a huge entrance into the mobile market they've not really had anything big since. Many fans can't wait for the next big Sprint device. They haven't said much though, and that worries us.

Sprint will say to you hey, we've got a great idea, let's film it on one of these HTC EVO 4G phones we've got here on our desk? And the rest will be history.

The talk of the town this weekend is that Sprint is rumored to be launching a new tablet based on the EVO line of Android handsets. The EVO View is likely to come with a dual core Tegra 2 dual core processor and could be a CDMA version of the HTC Flyer. In addition, Sprint is looking to add 3D to it's next generation EVO cellphones which will be aptly named the EVO 3D. And it may even run on 4G.

Honeycomb Theme for CM7 gets you as close to Honeycomb as possible

Even though Android 3.0 Honeycomb was just released recently, and is a Tablet based OS. It hasn't stopped many of the developers at XDA from porting it to just about as many devices as possible. Here's just a few, Honeycomb port for Nexus One, or the HTC Desire Port, even the all popular EVO got a Honeycomb Port. For some wiping out all of their data and flashing a completely new ROM that may, or may not be fully functioning is out of the question. Luckily for you I have the easiest way to get some Honeycomb. (for CM7 users that is)
