Doro PhoneEasy 740 is Android meets Jitterbug

As someone who has personally tried to teach basic operation of a DROID 3 to a septuagenarian, let me tell you, it's not an experience to be relished. Despite manufacturer's claims to "Simplify" the admittedly complex Android user interface with a new skin, it's just as hard if not harder for the non-technically inclined to learn basic smartphone operation these days. Enter Doro and their PhoneEasy 740, an Android slider handset that's designed with an eye towards people who are, uh, rich in years.

Panasonic shows off Eluga smartphone for Europe

Ready for a new entry in the manufacturer wars, Europe? Electronics giant Panasonic just announced that they'd be bringing their Eluga smartphone to the Eurozone sometime in 2012, making it the company's first high-end Android phone to debut outside of Japan. They're playing it close to the chest when it comes to specifications, but we do know the phone will be semi-ruggedized, and features a qHD display and NFC capability. Like some of Samsung's late tablets, it'll work as a remote control for Panasonic's TV line.

Lets keep this short and sweet shall we. After Apple filed a lawsuit aiming to ban all Galaxy Tab 10.1 sales in the European union and winning an initial injunction halting the sales in Europe everyone was up in arms. Samsung later responded and now we are seeing reports that Apple might have altered some of the evidence. This covered all of the European Union except for the Netherlands, so now Apple is headed for that region too.

HTC Sensation OTA Update for 2.3.4 Gingerbread Hitting Europe

New reports this morning are suggesting the update to the late Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread is currently underway for the European model. The update hit a few unbranded Germany roaming HTC Sensation phones but should be rolling out to other carriers throughout the next week or so. As far as I know there hasn't been any word regarding an update for the Sensation but this could be a good time to include some fixes and update to the latest OS version.

Samsung Responds to Court Ruling in Europe Banning Galaxy Tab 10.1 Sales

Earlier today we reported that a German court had ruled in Apple's favor regarding the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and a preliminary injunction was granted halting all sales and marketing for the device across the European Union. This is a huge blow to Samsung especially because it was selling so well in Europe over the past few weeks breaking all other tablet sales records -- iPad 2 aside.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Sales Blocked in Europe Thanks to Apple

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 which launched in Britain and other parts of Europe last week might be seeing itself pulled from the shelves soon, and not from buyers. Recent court rulings from a German court granted Apple a preliminary injunction against Samsung and the Galaxy Tab 10.1 stopping sales and marketing both. The Tab 10.1 was the best selling tablet ever in Europe when it launched compared to every other tablet except for the iPad 2.
