When we first heard about VIA Wonder Media’s entrance into to the Android tablet market, at the time there were no pictures or specs of any of the devices. Now we at least know what they will look like thanks to our friends over at Engadget. They caught on video a few of them hanging out at VIA’s booth at this year’s Computex expo.

Watching a scratch test is always a painful experience. This video isn’t as bad as some that we have seen in the past were people have used everything from forks, knives and keys but it does get the job done. The screen on the Streak looks to be pretty sturdy and scratch resistant.

A 10-inch Tegra 2-powered Android tablet by MSI
This little beauty goes by the name, WindPad 110. It is a 10-inch Tegra 2 Android powered tablet manufactured by MSI. It runs Android 2.1 and hopefully it will make it to the market soon. But for various reason devices powered by NVIDIA’s Tegra 2 processors seem to get delayed for various reason so there might be a bit of a wait for this to be released.

Since we first laid eyes on this innovative tablet at CES, we’ve always wondered what it would be like if Android was running on such a device. Well, our dreams have come true, Lenovo has opted out of using their own custom version of Linux in favor of Android. They also have pushed back the release most likely in preparation for an Android loaded Skylight and UI Hybrid.

At a presentation in Beijing today, Acer’s CEO Gianfranco Lanci teased the audience with a 7-inch Android tablet. When asked about the device he kept all information tight lipped. But the device is said to be running Android and is very fast. It appears Acer has a few more Android devices in the works that is almost ready for prime time.

If you’ve heard that date before it’s because the myTouch 3G Slide will be releasing on the same day. Engadget received this leaked screenshot of the Android powered Garmiphone. This screen not only outs the pricing for this handset but also the release date.

Most of you hardcore vanilla Android fans may not know this but Flash support isn’t a new feature that was implemented into Froyo (2.2). Sense UI has enjoyed Flash since its inception with built in Flash support. For the most part, Flash lite performed pretty well. Engadget has put together a head to head challenge between the newly release Flash 10.1 for 2.2 Nexus One’s and Flash lite that is included with the 2.1 Desire. Who’s going to be the winner?

Froyo Is Being Pushed TO The Nexus One Now
Early this morning a writer from TechCrunch made a claim that before he went to bed last night, he put his phone on the charger. Before he put it down he noticed that he had a notification for an update. So he installed the update and what do you know, he had 2.2. Most of us around the web did not think this was real, no one else had it and screen shots didn’t look to good. But, people in various parts started to receive this update and it’s pretty much confirmed. Froyo is being pushed out to the Nexus One right now.
