LG Readying to ‘Rewrite History’ with the Optimus 3D

LG hasn't been a key player in the phone market for quite some time, but they fully expect to change that in 2011 with device launches such as the Optimus 2X and Optimus 3D. Not only are they entering the smartphone market; they're entering it aggressively. In a new teaser published by LG, they boast "The World's First Dual Core-Multi Channel" device that looks strikingly similar to the LG Optimus 3D we saw leaked last week.

LG Optimus 2X Full Walkthrough and Hands On

One of the many phones the crew here on Android Community and our sister site SlashGear got our hands on back a few weeks ago at CES 2011 was none other than the LG Optimus 2X. It seems today that there's lots of coverage of this phone flying around today, and back when we released that video (on SlashGear,) didn't also post it to Android Community - so you might never have seen it! Now we've got an extra couple of minutes here on a relatively slow news day, so we thought we'd give you an awesome refresher. Behold the awesome power of the LG Optimus 2X!

Samsung Galaxy S2 the next Google Nexus S?

The Samsung Galaxy S2 may not just be a face-lift from the Google Nexus S. The new phone is expected to have all of the bells and whistles as the attractive Nexus S, but exhibit a dual core processor as well. It will be running (at least) Android 2.3, but with the skinned modifications we see on every Galaxy S device.

Another Dual-Core Samsung Phone Confirmation (Plus More Anzu)

This time from a trusted source in Russia, @eldarmutazin of Mobile Review, tweeted "Playing with se anzo [Anzu?] and galaxy 2 aka i9100. Se is nice but sams is so technically advanced. Dual core etc." The original Samsung Galaxy S had model number GT-i9000. There's a rumor about the Nexus S being scrapped in hopes of releasing a Dual-Core version, possibly this year. Lots of speculation, lots of rumor, but very possibly lots of news.

HTC Glacier is T-Mobile’s Project Emerald?

When Project Emerald news broke, there was all sorts of speculation surrounding what it could be. Despite all the rumor mongering and speculation, we still don't have a confirmation from T-Mobile what it is. But, we have to keep the rumor mill turning, so here we are with another addition. The HTC Glacier is, supposedly, the device that will spur T-Mobile's Emerald emergence, and it's actually HTC's dual-core processor device.
