Droid Incredible for Verizon Now Just $149.99

Apparently following in the footsteps of its Motorola Droid brethren, the Droid Incredible by HTC has just fallen down to $149.99 as well. The same "small print" comes along for the ride with this price drop as well. You'll still have to sign a new, two-year agreement and make sure you send in a mail-in rebate. But, the overall price is $50 cheaper -- does that mean something is coming to replace it?

HTC Droid Incredible HD coming November 23?

We first heard about the Droid Incredible HD about a month ago when the above shot leaked to the internet. Striking a similarity to the EVO 4G it was said to be coming to the Verizon network this year. Now it's likely that it will be hitting Verizon just in time for Thanksgiving.

Verizon’s Droid Incredible Originally Planned for Sprint

Verizon’s popular device, the Droid Incredible, was originally planned for Sprint as seen by the found shots of the Sprint legal notice in the phones software. Hidden along with the 4G screens that we found last week, our tipster found much more than just the basic 4G menu.

4G Setting Menu Found hidden in HTC Droid Incredible’s Software

We all know that Verizon is planning on launching their ultrafast 4G network starting later this year and into 2013. In fact, although we just got official word last week it looks like device manufacturers were already anticipating a 4G network and testing, or at least implementing the software needed to connect to it. The Droid Incredible’s 4G settings menu, found below, was accessed via a simple Gesture Search (a Google app/search method).

HTC Droid Incredible for Verizon Shipping with SLCD Displays by End of September

The idea of having your HTC Droid Incredible outfitted with a Super LCD display may not be happy news for most, but it's the sad truth of the day. After we broke the news that HTC had been forced to work with Sony to produce upcoming Incredible handsets a couple of months back, it looks like the solution has finally arrived, if this new screenshot is any indicator. It's reportedly a Verizon memo, circulating through their internal servers, and as you can tell from the wording, it looks like SLCD is beginning its roll-out soon.

HTC Droid Incredible for Verizon Updating to Android 2.2 Beginning August 27th

Well, fancy that. After hearing a new rumor suggesting that the Droid Incredible, manufactured by HTC, would be seeing its update to Android 2.2 officially beginning September 1st, we get this brand new leak, which suggests something quite different. Thanks to a tipster, it looks like the Incredible's update is actually coming tomorrow. That's right, Incredible owners who aren't rooted (and already on 2.2), it looks like you get your time in the sunshine very soon.

HTC Droid Incredible for Verizon Getting Android 2.2 on September 1st, Rumors Suggest

With the Motorola Droid 2 having launched with 2.2, and the original Motorola Droid having received at least two different OTA updates for Froyo over the last few weeks, there's plenty of people out there wondering when the Droid Incredible, manufactured by HTC, will get the prodigal update. Considering other HTC devices featuring Sense UI, like Sprint's EVO 4G, have already received their official update, people are beginning to scratch their head. And after plenty of other rumors, here's a new one to whet your appetite for at least a little while.

Droid Incredible for Verizon Not Getting Android 2.2 Today

Have to love those rumors, right? Unfortunately, we're not really fans of them when they turn out to be dead-ends. For example, that rumor last week that the Droid Incredible, manufactured by HTC, was getting Android 2.2 starting on August 18th? Well, turns out that it isn't true at all.

Motorola Droid and HTC Droid Incredible Back in Stock at Verizon’s Site, Maybe

There's a reason we've included "maybe" up there in the title. We've gotten a few emails from folks telling us that those rumors floating around, that the original Motorola Droid had managed to find its way back into stock on Verizon's website are actually true. Furthermore, we've also heard that the Droid Incredible, manufactured by HTC and plagued by AMOLED touchscreen shortages, has actually reached "in-stock" status, too. Well, a quick visit to Verizon's site doesn't necessarily say the same thing.
