doubleTwist hack allows for Play Music streaming to AirPlay

If you own an Android phone and an AirPlay device from Apple, you know they don’t quite talk to one another. Call it what you will (walled garden?), but the two systems just don’t work in harmony. A new hack from the team at doubleTwist have given those with Google Play Music the ability to stream to their AirPlay.

doubleTwist goes Holo with latest Android app update

The doubleTwist app has once again been updated. This one is not rich with new features, however there is some relatively nice changes. Perhaps even nicer, the folks at doubleTwist are teasing this as being the "first part of a major redesign." This doubleTwist update, which is already available in the Google Play Store is said to be Stage 1 of the Holo Release. Once updated the app launches to the Music tab and here is where you will likely notice changes in the design.

doubleTwist Magic Radio music service now streaming

The latest music streaming service has launched for Android users. The service is called Magic Radio and it comes by way of doubleTwist. In fact, the Magic Radio service has arrived as part of the latest doubleTwist app update. Magic Radio is included with doubleTwist v2.0 and touts itself as being perfect for those who are "tired of listening to the same old songs from your music library."

Doubletwist turns Android into a Media Server

There's been an upgrade to the popular DoubleTwist AirSync app which adds a serious new feature that Android phones can take advantage of. Using the feature known as "AirTwist," Android phones can now stream video wirelessly to a TV through an Xbox 360 or Playstation 3 game console. More DLNA devices are also coming.

DoubleTwist receives big update, now features AirSync

DoubleTwist has recently released a new update for Android devices and for their desktop client as well. The biggest new feature of the update is the Airsync ability. Basically it allows the user to manage and sync your iTunes music, photos and videos wirelessly between your computer and your Android device.

doubleTwist Will Support Internal Storage Soon

If you have an HTC Incredible or Samsung Galaxy S, you will find that currently doubleTwist doesn’t support files that are stored on your internal memory. This will change soon according to doubleTwist. Their app is currently being updated to take advantage of handsets with internal storage.

Something most Android users agree on is that the standard media app is less than impressive in comparison to what else is on the market, and that's where doubleTwist's new Android app comes in.  Designed to replace the regular player - as well as sync nicely with doubleTwist's desktop app - the new software supports music and video, together with iTunes playlist imports.
