Samsung Galaxy S Devices Now DivX HD Certified
It's not a standard in every phone quite yet, but it's becoming more apparent that DivX support is a growing trend in smartphones. Samsung, especially, has actually included the support for the video format, including it in devices that aren't even smartphones, per se. So, it comes as no surprise that the Samsung Galaxy S devices have been officially given the title "certified."

According to a press release by Orange UK, the Galaxy Apollo will launch soon and will be exclusive to their network.  If you were hoping to get your hands on it and you’re not in an area that is supported by Orange UK, you may be out of luck for awhile. There is currently no unlocked version that I could find. This device is a mid-range Android handset and it can be you’re either on a Pay as You Go Plan or on contract.

Since Android was introduced, there have been many complaints about its lack of .avi and .divx playback. Since then there has been a few phones with .divx capabilities but there still was no player for the rest of us. The RockPlayerBase allows any Android 2.1 handset to playback XviD, DivX, Mkv and even RMVB files. .
