MyMultitouch 84-inch 4K touch-display shows Android on the big screen

Android is great on screens of all shapes and sizes, but how about enjoying some Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and Angry Birds on a 84-inch 4K (Ultra HD) touch display? That's exactly what we have for you below. At this years CeBit show MyMultitouch is showing off their new tablet - if you can call it that - and this 3,840 x 2,160 Ultra HD resolution screen called the Alvaro GIANT is capable of running Android, Windows, or almost anything else.

Samsung to show off 5.5-inch flexible screen during CES

We've heard plenty about Samsung's flexible smartphone screens throughout the years, but when CES rolls around in a couple of weeks, Samsung will be ready to show them off once again. This time around, the screen will be 5.5-inches and sport a resolution of 1280x720 - that gives us a pixel density of 267. There will also be a flexible 55-inch TV screen on display, so Samsung has been hard at work to bring us these nifty new displays.

Sharp 5-inch 1080p display production gets green light

Many of the most popular smartphones as of late all are coming with larger and higher resolution displays. Today Sharp has just announced their new 5-inch fully HD 1080p smartphone display technology will begin full-scale production, and has the green light to get going. Sharp is looking to power the beautiful screens on multiple devices with these new displays.

Samsung postpones production of flexible AMOLED screens

Flexible AMOLED touch screens might be the next big thing in smartphone technology, but sadly, it looks like we'll be waiting a bit longer for their arrival. Samsung is reportedly delaying the production of its flexible AMOLED screens due to issues with yields. Since Samsung has been aggressively pursuing these new screens, it stands to reason that we won't see these flexible screens featured in smartphones until Samsung can sort out its production issues.

Samsung Galaxy Note II rumored to have flexible AMOLED screen

Samsung is expected to reveal the Galaxy Note II soon, but such a reveal not happening until the end of the month, so there's plenty of time left for new rumors. This time around we're told by Korea IT Times that Samsung will be including a 5.5-inch flexible AMOLED screen for the Galaxy Note successor. This screen will apparently be combined with unbreakable plane display technology (UBP) and a plastic substrate, which will allow it to be tougher than your typical smartphone display.
