Qualcomm releases more drivers for Adreno, should help ICS development
The entire discussion about fragmentation and old devices not getting updated is a hot topic in the world of Android. A lot of the problem is based around older phones not having the hardware to support such updates. While many manufacturers don't issue updates, the modding community does. With Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich that task got a little harder, but Qualcomm is helping out.

Android 4.0 with Sense UI ported to myTouch 4G Slide
The HTC myTouch 4G Slide was at the top of its class upon its initial release, and now early adopters can take advantage of an early Alpha Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) port thanks to XDA Developer tbalden. Named 'Futureal', this ROM ports the earlier leaked HTC One X firmware to the myTouch 4G Slide. It's all done through ClockworkMod recovery, thus requiring root access to your device.

MIUI now fully functional on Verizon’s Galaxy Nexus
ViciousMIUI was released for Verizon's Galaxy Nexus only a few days after its initial launch, and since then we've been eagerly waiting for developer DroidVicious to release a completely functional MIUI port. Just two days ago, he did just that.

Motorola ATRIX and DROID Bionic fastboot files now available
Just yesterday, we saw fastboot files for the Motorola DROID RAZR leak into existence over on XDA Developers and DROIDRZR.com. Now, two other Motorola devices have been graced with another generous leak of fastboot files - the ATRIX, and DROID Bionic. As a recap, I'll note that fastboot files can be used to let a user flash stock recovery images to their device, thus helping them recover from a 'soft brick'.

Android Open Kang Project hits Milestone 1 for Verizon’s Galaxy Nexus
There are a few ROMs and kernels out there for Verizon's Galaxy Nexus already, but the one that clearly stood apart from the rest was AOKP by Roman of RootzWiki. Thus far, his build has been the most stable and speedy while still having all the bells and whistles. Through a ROM Control quicklink within the settings, rooted users can customize their phone with ease and reliability; no need to boot into recovery. And most importantly, this ROM has just reached its first "Milestone". A milestone release aims at fixing all the current bugs, and offers an option for users that don't feel like flashing another .ZIP through ClockworkMod every other day.

Verizon Galaxy Nexus modification will change your softkeys and their color
For Galaxy Nexus owners that just picked up their device from Verizon, you may finally have a reason to root your device. Yes, rooting does void your warranty - but it opens a world of new available features. Even though Verizon’s Nexus is fairly new, development has been progressing at an excellent rate. We recently discussed a battery mod compatible with the Android Revolution HD ROM for the Galaxy Nexus, and now there is a softkey mod that adds a “Search” softkey pictured as a magnifying glass to the right of the bottom menu buttons.

MIUI on Galaxy Nexus LTE currently in the works, almost fully functional
Well that was quick. Developer DroidVicious over at RootzWiki has almost ported his ViciousMIUI ROM over from the Thunderbolt to the Galaxy Nexus LTE. Before even a day had passed, he had calls, call audio, and data all working perfectly. The only feature currently broken and acting buggy is WiFI and the softkeys. Though we'll have to wait for a WiFi fix from him directly, we can mend the softkey problem by downloading Soft Keys from the Android Market.

Peter Alfonso uploading Android 4.0.3 builds if his page reaches 100 “+1s”
Peter Alfonso, respected AOSP developer, just tweeted that he will "start uploading builds as soon as [his] downloads page reaches 100 '+1's'." Right now he is at 71 - only 29 to go! My guess is he will be pushing out 4.0.3 nighties by the end of the night.

Android Revolution HD ROM 2.2.1 on the Verizon Galaxy Nexus
Though still a work in progress, mike1986 has brought Samsung Galaxy Nexus (GSM/LTE) owners his popular Android Revolution HD ROM. I myself have been running this 2.1.1 build without any problems so far. Actually, it is a great improvement over the stock ROM; battery life has improved, and screen transition effects are performed much smoother. The phone is initially very fast, but after installation I've only seen an improvement - no hiccups.
