Motorola has gone full swing with the holiday discounts. Last week brought news of a Moto X Cyber Monday sale. Not to mention, Motorola was offering some Black Friday discounts as well. Well, as today is Cyber Monday -- the focus appears to be on the Moto X discounts. Specifically, for the Moto Maker and Developer Edition models.

Kit Kat updates has begun. This time, according to details coming from the @HTCUSA Twitter account, the Android 4.4 rollout has begun for Unlocked and Developer Editions of the HTC One. With the Google Play edition having gotten the Kit Kat update last week, this sort of rounds things out for the special editions.

Samsung is getting ready to offer a Developer Edition Galaxy Note 3 with Verizon Wireless compatibility. The handset was initially discovered by xda user oneandroidnut when he visited the Samsung support pages to register his non-Developer Edition Note 3. And well, a little further digging on the Samsung site revealed the teaser page, which simply lists the handset as coming soon.

HTC One Android 4.3 rollout began earlier in the week with reports of the update already arriving for those in Taiwan. The same day the update began, Jason Mackenzie had taken to Twitter with news about how that same 4.3 update would be heading to the Developer Edition model of the One. Well, that update arrived yesterday and in fact, HTC has gone a step further and also released the files on the Developer Center website.
Developer Edition handsets have officially been listed with Motorola. There are two models listed, one with support for Verizon Wireless and the other with support for GSM (AT&T and T-Mobile). Both models have 32GB of internal storage and are touting the "special" black and woven white Developer Edition design.
Motorola's latest flagship might soon have their craving satisfied now that the Moto X Developer Edition has made an appearance on Motorola's Moto X website. Some amount of waiting is still needed, though, as the device is still marked as "Coming Soon".
Samsung had previously announced the upcoming availability of the Developer Edition GALAXY S 4. This model had been expected for AT&T and Verizon Wireless and as of today it looks like the availability has arrived for one of the two carriers. That carrier is Verizon Wireless and the handset is priced at $649.99 and arriving with the ability to unlock the bootloader.
