HTC Desire EYE has your selfie needs covered on both sides

It appears that the leaks were quite spot on. HTC does indeed have a double-sided camera phone for digital photographers and selfie addicts alike. As part of its brand new imaging thrust, which led to the new HTC RE camera as well, the HTC Desire EYE offers a new kind of mobile photography experience, by making the front-facing camera a first class citizen and on the exact same level as the back one. Perhaps it also helps that the HTC Desire EYE is strangely quite on par with the HTC's One M8 flagship in terms of hardware.

HTC may win the race for first 64-bit Android smartphone

This specific race is heating up – as we have covered before that SoC manufacturers are working hard to put out their own 64-bit processors – but it looks like HTC may steal a march on their competitors by tying this deal up with Qualcomm to put out what is probably the world’s first fully 64-bit Android smartphone.

New HTC mid-tier phone gets leaked, to feature 64bit SoC

A possible HTC mid-tier phone got leaked, code named the HTC A11, which from visible aesthetics and design would go well with the brand’s Desire line. HTC has been relatively quiet on new products these past few weeks, and so it’s good to see that it is not resting on its laurels on putting out what is arguably one of the best Android phones to date with the HTC One M8.

HTC Desire 816: hands-on with a mid-range flagship

HTC may have had the Desire 816 off limits for touching following the initial announcement event, but we still managed to get to spend a bit more quality time with the handset once the show floor opened. We still weren't able to power it on, which meant we were not able to see how nice the display looks. But again, for reference, the Desire 816 display is 5.5-inches and 720p.

HTC Desire 816 eyes-on

As had been rumored, HTC appears to be shifting some focus back to the mid-range. Coming out of Mobile World Congress were two smartphone announcements from HTC, both of which are in the Desire series. These include the HTC Desire 816 and the Desire 610. As we mentioned in the announcement post, the Desire 816 has a decent (read: mid-range) set of overall features and specs.

The initial launch will be for those in Taiwan, however the handset is also expected to arrive in other markets.
