HTC Desire HD receives a Beats Audio-enabled Rom, beats Sensation XE to the punch

We all know that HTC acquired Beats Audio with the intentions of bringing better audio fidelity to HTC Android phones. We have heard tons of news regarding this the past few weeks, and just this morning HTC announced the HTC Sensation XE with Beats Audio. Apparently those smart developers have beat HTC to the punch and have developed a Desire HD rom with Beats Audio integration, details below.

HTC Sense 3.0 Not coming to older devices, but they will get pieces

Earlier today there was a tweet by a HTC employee that has now made it's rounds throughout all the blogs. He mentioned that legacy devices, even ones like the Desire S and Desire HD will NOT be getting Sense 3.0 due to hardware requirements. You can see that tweet here. That would not be good news for many of you that have just jumped into one of those exciting new phones.

HTC Thunderbolt Download 30+ Skins for Sense UI 2.0

So everyone has started to get their new and awesome HTC Thunderbolts over the last week or so. I'm sure you all love it. For those like me that always want to tinker, or change how things look we have a little treat for you. A XDA member by the name of sopL87 has made a huge collection of unique and nice looking skins for your Sense 2.0 device. They work on the Thunderbolt as well as the Desire HD and basically any Sense 2.0 device. Here are a few of my favorite.

HTC Desire HD Heading to Saudi Arabia

It looks as if the HTC Desire HD will soon be hitting the Saudi Arabian market. HTC announced their plans at a press conference in Jeddah on December 19th with stating that they are excited to bring the nation's second Android-equipped device to market.

myTouch 4G vs Desire HD Benchmarks

Our sister site SlashGear is currently testing the myTouch 4G while they are preparing for the review. It's benchmarking suggests that its the fastest Android smartphone around. They decided to pit it up against another recently released Android smartphone called the HTC Desire HD. What's interesting, is the results from the test. Both have the same 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8255 processor paired with 768MB of RAM, but when tested, the MyTouch 4G came out decently far ahead.

HTC Desire HD source code Released

HTC has just released the source code for the Desire HD and posted it to their Developer Center. Allowing developers to get their hands on the official source code, we can fully expect to start seeing ROMs popping up bringing the new reworked HTC Sense to other devices.
