Dell Streak Pre-Sales About to Kick Off

There's been a few other Android-based launches the last few days, but hopefully you haven't forgotten about Dell's 5-inch mobile Internet device (MID). It's still coming. And while it didn't show up last week, like we hoped it would, Dell wants you to know it's still happening. Soon. So soon, in fact, that they've managed to begin preparation for a pre-sale period. Sure, we've seen other pre-sales lead to nothing more than vaporware, but we're pretty sure Dell will come through with this one.

Dell Streak now availabe and unlocked in UK

Not too long ago the Dell Streak was reviewed and overall we liked it. Well now in the UK you can buy one, straight from Dell. The Streak is SIM-free and costs around 449 pounds in the UK. In case you've forgotten the specs, the screen is 5 inches, an 800x400 resolution and multitouch support.

Dell Streak Pairs Up With A Bluetooth Keyboard and Mouse – Video

Here’s another feature in the hat of the Dell Streak. You can connect a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse to the massive 5 inch screen on the Streak. Currently, the mouse has no functionality but it still cool that it even recognizes it. A Bluetooth keyboard and a nice dock is a great combination. It almost acts as a mini desktop computer. The best part about this is there’s no hacking required. Apparently you just pair up your keyboard and you’re on your way. There is no lag when typing on the keyboard. Everything is displayed almost instantaneously. If you have a Streak, try it out. If you’re still waiting for it to arrive you now have an extra function to look forward too. LG Optimus Is Now Rooted

There hasn’t been much coverage on this device since it’s not available here in the US. It may never make it over here but in Europe (mainly France) this is a very popular handset. It has been rooted by none other than Paul aka Modaco.

Dell Streak Has Been Rooted?

The answer is yes, it has been rooted. Paul, better known as Modaco, has done it again. Shortly after being released in the UK, he has managed to root the Streak in seemingly record time. This tablet was just released yesterday and it was rooted the same day. At least this time the product actually made into the market. He rooted a few handsets before they was even released to the public.

Dell Streak HDMI dock makes a cameo

Once the Dell Streak hits the streets this HDMI dock will surely be the hottest accessory everyone will pick up for their new toy. This dock will be able to perform all of the things we expect out of a traditional dock and a few extras. It should be available for purchase on the same day the streak is released.
