Texting while walking is something we all do on basically a daily if not hourly basis. Could you imagine walking down the street in NYC, Las Vegas, or multiple cities and getting pulled over and ticketed for texting while walking? Sounds crazy right? According to multiple reports that is exactly what's happening at a small town in New Jersey.
Remember that phone that was originally made by a group called "Danger" by it's first name "Danger Hiptop." That was way back in 2002 (ancient history!) Danger was picked up by Microsoft, and long story short, in 2009, Microsoft suffered an outage that screwed up basically ever Sidekick user across the USA as well as parts of the UK. There was a long period of no Sidekicks during 2009, then on July 2nd, 2010, a date that will live in infamy, the Sidekick was discontinued. Until NOW when this epic phone that's gone through several iterations since birth when Samsung and T-Mobile team up again with a brand NEW partner, ANDROID, all of them here to bring you the 2011 T-Mobile Sidekick 4G!
An executive has leaked that T-Mobile's Danger service for the Sidekick will be discontinued for Sidekick devices effective May 31, 2011. The Service, created by Microsoft, is what the Sidekick relies on exclusively for it's data services. The move may be peremptory as word was recently leaked of a 4G Sidekick coming to T-Mobile soon. The new Sidekick will run Android 2.3 Gingerbread, have a full QWERTY keyboard and support HSPA+.
You remember the Sidekicks that were offered by T-Mobile, right? It's been awhile since anyone's heard anything about Sidekick, considering it's been discontinued. Well, apparently not all good things stay dead, because rumors have it that the Sidekick line of devices may be reborn -- with Android under the hood.
