Today has been an exciting day in Android news. We got to see some more Gingerbread - this time in an official video - the NOOKcolor receiving a full teardown, and even a new Logitech Revue Ad featuring Kevin Bacon as himself. November is coming to an end, as we near closer to December the topic on everyone's mind is the impending release of Android 2.3 Gingerbread. However, thats not all the Android news going around, devices such as the Archos Internet Tablets saw an update to the now current Android 2.2. We also saw the ratings in the Android Market going live today, now developers must also submit a suggested content rating for all applications. Just as Cyber Monday brings an end to a busy news day in Android, we also finished one of the biggest shopping weekends of the year. As we near Android 2.3 Gingerbread we are starting to see more and more powerful devices that should be running the much anticipated OS such as the Motorola Etna/Olympus and the LG Star. Today has been a busy day at Android Community! As we near the holidays we are stating to see all of our favorite devices see some substantial discounts. All DROID devices were on sale at Amazon for a penny, and the DROID Pro was also on sale at Best Buy for $99. As we are left waiting for Android 2.3 Gingerbread, not much else in happening in the world of Android. Many devices are getting up to 2.2 before Gingerbread officially breaks on the scene such as the Galaxy S line in Canada next month. Today even marked the official launch of the Droid Pro on Verizon bringing in Blackberry fans a great Android-based alternative. Speaking of Verizon, their CEO informed the media that they may be charging for the 4G network based on the speed the user decides. Today has been a pretty slow day in Android related news. As we all wait for Gingerbread to be announced and details start to pour in, we are left with a feeling of emptiness and excitement to see what's in store for our favorite OS. Before we even officially hear about Gingerbread we are left with news regarding Honeycomb and how we might see it on the MOTOPAD as early as February. We also found out that Samsung is shifting it's focus on Android devices to focus more on Windows 7 Phones.
