CyanogenMod nightly build arrives for the Moto G

Moto G users now have an official CyanogenMod option available. This one is a nightly, and currently available for select Moto G models. Specifically, the folks at Cyanogen have released this nightly build for the XT1031, XT1032, and XT1034 model numbers. Basically, the single-SIM retail versions of the Moto G.

Cyanogen hires AOKP founder Roman Birg

Cyanogen has brought on another heavy hitter in the world of custom ROMs. Roman Birg, creator of the Android Open Kang Project (AOKP) has joined the Cyanogen team. AOKP is considered by many to be the counterpart for CyanogenMod, but don’t worry, it isn’t going away.

OnePlus files USPTO trademark on One+ name

Rumors surrounding the HTC One follow-up device have been pointing to a few names. The handset currently sports a codename of HTC M8, however we have seen HTC One Two and HTC One+ being thrown around as potential launch names. HTC has yet to offer any sort of formal announcement, however adding a plus sign to the name is something they have done in the past.

CyanogenMod Installer arrives for Mac users

The CyanongenMod Installer has had some ups and downs since the original release. The Installer basically just simplifies the process of getting CyanogenMod up and running on your smartphone or tablet. Initially we saw this launch by way of the Google Play Store, however one of those down portions was the removal. The folks at Cyanogen managed to keep this available by way of their website, however it had remained only with support for Windows computers.

OnePlus phone will run “new, specially customized” CyanogenMod

Cyanogen and OnePlus announced they had partnered up to create the OnePlus One smartphone. Naturally, one could assume the hardware would be from OnePlus and the software would be from Cyanogen. The catch is, aside from those few assumptions -- the only piece that had been confirmed was the two companies had partnered. Well, while much of the specifics are still a mystery, OnePlus and Cyanogen have done some teasing.
