Android Community Weekly: May 13th, 2012

It's been a big week in the Android world, mostly due to the CTIA wireless show in New Orleans. Naturally Android Community was there to cover it, and you can see all of our CTIA stories here. Lava XOLO Intel Android smartphone hands-on

We had a great time at CTIA 2012 this year down in New Orleans and saw plenty of impressive phones like the EVO 4G LTE and DROID Incredible 4G LTE. One that went under the radar however was the new Lava XOLO Intel-powered smartphone that was announced in late April. We stopped by the Intel booth for some hands-on with their Android phone to see what the fuss was all about. Check out the video and pictures after the break.

Android Community CTIA 2012 Wrap-Up

Another mobile event has finally wrapped up only this year we had the opportunity to enjoy New Orleans for CTIA 2012. Below we'll run down a quick list of some of the things that were worth seeing this trip. With Samsung and HTC making announcements earlier in the year we were worried, but still found plenty of excitement in the Big Easy. Samsung Galaxy S III hands-on with TouchWiz

You can never get too much of the new Samsung Galaxy S III right? Announced last week and detailed in full with all of our hands-on coverage today we have even more to show you guys. While enjoying our time in New Orleans for CTIA 2012 we stopped by Samsung to get a second look. Below we have some hands-on specifically showing the software and TouchWiz side of things such as facial recognition in the photo gallery, as well as the new screen unlock features and more.

New Orleans tour through the lens of the HTC EVO 4G LTE

Here at CTIA 2012 we were able to get our first hands-on with the new HTC EVO 4G LTE device to replace the iconic original HTC EVO. This time around it will be running on their new 4G LTE spectrum too. The new HTC One series is highly impressive and the EVO 4G LTE picks right up where the HTC One X left off. With a huge and vivid 4.7-inch screen, and the same awesome 8 megapixel camera. Read on for our first impressions and a full photo tour of New Orleans thanks to HTC and the EVO 4G LTE.

SwiftKey CMO and Community Manager speaks at CTIA

We've talked about keyboards plenty in the past and one that always comes up in discussion is SwiftKey. Their popular keyboard for Android has multiple impressive features like their predictive text engine and more. Today we had a chance to sit down and talk with Joe Braidwood, CMO of SwiftKey about the product, their vision, and why the VIP Forum Community is so important to them.

HTC EVO 4G LTE hands-on

Say hello to the HTC EVO 4G LTE. HTC announced the new EVO 4G LTE last month but today while hanging out at CTIA 2012 we decided to grab some hands-on time with it, and do a quick comparison to the HTC One X. You'll quickly notice how thin the LTE-capable device is from our video and pictures below.
