Google+ contest asks where your Android (toy) has been
We love our little vinyl Android desk ornaments. You've probably noticed, since we cram them into just about every review and hands-on post on Android Community - what can we say, we're fans too. Our Androids usually just hang out in a photo lightbox or hiding behind soda cans on our desks, but Google wants to know the coolest places that the little guys have been all over the world. Take a photo of your Android in a neat place, tag it with the location, and submit it to the official Google+ Android account, and your photo might be featured when the contest ends.

Cee Lo hides white DROID RAZR in LA, Motorola gives away 6 more
Sprite spokesman, American Dad! guest star and occasional R&B singer Cee Lo Green has a white Motorola DROID RAZR, and he wants to give it to you. Not you, personally, but at least one of his Twitter followers, now numbered at about half a million. He's hidden it somewhere in Los Angeles, and will be tweeting out clues to its precise location on his official account, @CeeLoGreen. You probably shouldn't check under the big "W" in the Hollywood sign.

It’s the middle of July and tech news this week has been rock steady! Lets start off by saying that Google+ is now available for international users; and at this point it seems that all Google+ is missing compared to other social platforms is a wider userbase. In other Google news, their new project “Google Offers (Beta)” launched in NYC Tuesday. Think of this service as a way to save money with many different local businesses on a daily basis. This past Monday evening, HTC released information that the bootloaders of some of their more recent devices will be unlocked in the coming months of August and September. Some of their devices have already been unlocked over at XDA Developers, but I’m sure many have been awaiting an official fix.

Now here's the thing: we might MAYBE just happen to have another one lying around to give to you later, but for now, we've got something many consider to be even BETTER: The Asus Eee Pad Transformer! Android Community’s Gigantic XOOM Tablet Giveaway is Over! Thank You everyone!
Oh my goodness we are finished. Before anything else is said, let me thank NVIDIA, providers of the tablets for this contest for both AC and SG. Then - we've finally found five non-robot of-age human citizens of the USA to give five XOOM tablets to. You would not believe how hard it was to fill those requirements. Hopefully some international contests in the future, but for now, USA! We've got all five winners chosen, contacted, connected, and their XOOM units are sent. Two were given at our sister site SlashGear, three were given here at Android Community, all were given to folks who we hope will take the kind time to be kind and review their units once they're settled with them. This is only the beginning of the beginning!
