ASUS readies new Transformer tablets for Computex

If a handful of Transformer models (many of them yet to go on sale) isn't enough for you, then you'll want to keep a close watch on Android Community come Thursday. That's when ASUS is set to reveal new models at the Computex conference in Taipei, according to their latest teaser video. In typical ASUS fashion it's intentionally vague, with an overbearing voice over and precisely zero specific information.

Fully Boot Android in One Second? – Video

This year’s Computex featured a lot of exciting new things in the world of Android. QuickBoot by Ubiquitous aims to shorten the time it takes to boot up Android to a fraction of the current time. It usually takes 30 seconds of more to for Android to boot up, this video has a device that does it in 1 second.

Acer Android beTouch E120 – Video

Don’t be alarmed, the title is similar to the last but it isn’t the same story (not exactly). This is another Android 1.6 device by Acer that has been recently announced at this year’s Computex. This version shares a few things in common with the E130 as you will see later.

Android 2.1 Moorestown powered by Intel

Intel had their new Atom processor on display at this year’s Computex, Engadget had a few representatives at the expo where they got some hands on time with multiple different Android devices. One of which is this handset powered by Intel first chip designed for Android. The prototype phone used in this demo was manufactured by a company called Aava.

VIA’s WonderMedia Android 1.6 tablet

When we first heard about VIA Wonder Media’s entrance into to the Android tablet market, at the time there were no pictures or specs of any of the devices. Now we at least know what they will look like thanks to our friends over at Engadget. They caught on video a few of them hanging out at VIA’s booth at this year’s Computex expo.
