OxygenOS for OnePlus will be closed-source, CyanogenMod reacts

The final line of the story of the ugly breakup between OnePlus and Cyanogen is yet to be written – it’s a very public spat that is now fodder for tech blogs and industry pundits alike. CyanogenMod now officially supports Android One

It might have taken a while, but a lot of Android One users would probably be very happy to know that CyanogenMod, the popular aftermarket software outfit that tweaks Android into a better version of itself, is now giving it official support. Lo and behold, XDA senior member “Aaahh” has given the old phone a fitting swan song, by successfully installing CyanogenMod’s Android KitKat-based OS on it.

Android L theme for CM11 now available for L-style look

The hype around Android L after Google I/O, while subdued and controlled, is still considerable and has been getting a lot of Android fans excited for the official release of the new incarnation of Android by around fall this year. If you can’t wait, though – and if your phone is running CyanogenMod 11 – you’ll be glad to know that one of the good folks at XDA has already created an Android L-based theme for CM11.

CyanogenMod 11.0 M4 series builds now available

Cyanogen has release the latest in the "M" series of builds. This time around we are seeing the CyanogenMod 11.0 M4 release, which naturally, is a follow-up to the M3 release we saw around this time last month. All the CM11 M4 builds should be live and available from the official download portal at this time. They also come with a decent sized list of updates and changes this time around.
