SugarSync 2.0 for Android beta now available

SugarSync announced the 2.0 beta back in mid-November. Current users have had the option to upgrade to the new (still in beta) versions on the desktop and the web and as of today, you now have the option to run the beta app on your Android handset. The one catch, the app is not yet available from Google Play and instead will need to be downloaded and sideloaded.

Amazon cloud outage brings Reddit, Pinterest, Netflix down

Amazon's cloud services seem to be struggling a bit today, as our friends at SlashGear are reporting that a failure has brought down a number of huge sites like Netflix, Reddit, Pinterest, and Foursquare. The outage, according to Amazon's own Web Service Dashboard, looks to be the fault of Amazon's EC2 services, but we're pleased to say that things are getting better. Whereas before, EC2's status alerted that "new launches for EBS backed instances are failing," at the moment, the status is "Degraded EBS performance in a single Availability Zone."

Dropbox Pro plans go big with 500GB option

Lately the competition in online cloud storage has really started to heat up. With multiple options coming in with all sorts of pricing someone needs to make their mark. Today it appears that Dropbox wants to be first. They've just revealed their new Pro plans that are doubling users storage limits for nearly the same price.

NVIDIA takes on OnLive with GeForce Grid

Both OnLive and NVIDIA have been making huge strides in mobile gaming, but approaching it from opposite directions. While NVIDIA is more than happy to provide you with a Tegra-powered smartphone or tablet, their new cloud gaming service means that soon enough you won't need one. The company demonstrated their brand new GeForce Grid in partnership with Gaikai, which already gas a streaming game service.

Zipwhip creates text message-enabled coffee machine using Android

As if we aren't lazy enough already, this awesome creation from Zipwhip has me completely fascinated. Imagine waking up in the morning -- rolling over to your Android smartphone -- and texting coffee, or espresso to your Zipwhip-powered coffee maker. Google Drive cloud storage services tipped for April release

The masters at Google have been hard at work on what we know as Google Drive. The cloud storage service that is still for the most part unknown, that Google has big plans for in the coming months. We know it's coming soon, but that is about all we know. This cloud storage online file system has been long awaited from Google and now we are hearing rumors of an April release.
