The CLIQ 2 was announced by Motorola today and proved to its audience that it will be a pretty solid device. It will carry a 3.7 in screen and run a 1Ghz processor. It will run MOTOBLUR so you can expect it to be great for social use.
As you can see, it will feature a titanium hue on its outer shell during its release. The device is set to launch January 9th on T-Mobile so expect to see more reviews on this unit very soon.
Motorola is currently in the process of asking members of it's forums to keep a look out for websites offering up modded Cliq 2.1 ROMs. In an effort to insure Cliq users only get the official release to avoid problems down the road.
The wait is almost over for those digging their fingernails into their kneecaps over Android 2.1 for Motorola Cliq. Word on the street is that a couple thousand super lucky users have been asked to run a bit of Eclair - field trials are on their way toward being under way. Eclair may have already been leaked for Cliq, but this field test means the real, full deal is on the way officially.
If you own a MOTOBLUR device you already realize that your phones potential for updates is dwindling. While Motorola prepares it’s upcoming devices for Android 2.2 and beyond, Cliq, Cliq XT, and Backflip owners are waiting on a 2.1 update that may never even come to release.
That may have taken longer than most have wanted but the myTouch 3G Slide has been rooted. Eugene373, a modder that has done some great work with the Cliq and Behold 2, has just rooted the Slide. You can find the instructions after the break.
Up until now all we’ve seen of the droid 2 is a blurry picture that didn’t even show the entire front of the device. Now we finally get a clear look at the full handset. There’s even a video of the boot screen and you can clearly see that it has a full QWERTY keyboard. It looks almost identical to the original droid that we all know and love.

Well, the promotion is indirectly Android related. The latest rumor has T-Mobile conducting a one day promotion where every phone in their inventory will be free.
Looks like everyone is catching Android fever, Metro PCS will soon have their first Android based phone. Yesterday there was a rumor that Metro PCS may have an Android phone in the making. What a difference a day makes? Earlier today, Androidguys managed to get some pictures of the device.
For the longest we’ve heard that the Cliq will join the ranks of Android 2.1 in Q2. Well, the end of Q2 is fast approaching, in fact there’s only a few more weeks left in Q2. Tmonews is now reporting that the Cliq will get 2.1 in the begging of July.
The Droid Xtreme will like be the successor to the original Droid. There’s been rumors around the web that says Verizon plans on releasing two Android based devices next month. Hopefully the two devices will be the Shadow and the Droid Xtreme or Droid 2. These pictures were leaked earlier today by our friends over at Droid-Life.
