Chromecast back in stock at Best Buy online, Netflix included

The hard to find Google Chromecast media streaming dongle has been something many are looking to get their hands on, and now one more option is available again. We've seen the Chromecast go in and out of stock from Best Buy, Google's Play Store, and Amazon, and now it looks like Google finally has quite a bit more for everyone.

Google rolls out Chromecast and Cast SDK updates

Chromecast owners and developers are probably having a field day. Earlier we reported on the public availability of the Fling Java app that lets users stream local media to the Chromecast without the need of a browser. And now, Google announced a double whammy of updates, one for the Chromecast device itself and the other for the Google Cast SDK.

Chromecast availability on Google Play returns, shipping in 2 weeks

When Google first announced their new Chromecast media streaming device about a month ago, they apparently didn't expect the device to be in such demand. After selling out almost instantly and being wiped from Best Buy shelves in a matter of hours, the device has been hard to find. However, this afternoon the Play Store stock and availability appears to be stabilizing.

Bitcasa to add support for Chromecast streaming

Bitcasa is touted as the service that offers "infinite storage" for your computer, phone or tablet and it looks like users will soon be able to use that storage to stream files to Chromecast. Users can get 10GB of free storage from Bitcasa or upgrade to that infinite storage level for $99 per year. While the pricing seems to be on the lower side, the low price of the Chromecast helped convince them of adding the support.

CyanogenMod Chromecast streaming support teased

Koush has returned with another Chromecast demo and this latest is one that CyanogenMod users will likely be happy to see come available. The promise here is that it is possible to Chromecast everything from your handset. Well, with a handset that is running CyanogenMod. We have yet to see when this would be rolled into ROMs, however Koush has offered a rather compelling demo video.
