PLAiR 2 streaming dongle unveiled with Android app support

PLAiR may not be a name that everyone is familiar with, however the functionality of the PLAiR 2, which has been announced today will be familiar. Basically, you can think Chromecast, but with much more ability. PLAiR 2 is, as the name would imply, a second-generation device and this time around there has been some added functionality as well as a drop in price.

Pandora Chromecast support now official

Pandora recently rolled out the v5.0 update. That update actually arrived in the Google Play Store yesterday and while the screenshots were showing the Chromecast icon -- the support wasn't available. At the time the focus of the update was for tablets but jump ahead a day later and we are getting the official word on Chromecast support.

LG trademarks names for Chrome OS devices, but what are they?

LG, maker of the Nexus 4 and upcoming Nexus 5, may be getting a little more Google-centric. Reports now indicate that LG will be making a line of Chrome OS devices, and have trademarked names for them. While the filing suggests that they will simply be Chromebooks -- as we’re used to seeing -- it could also mean something new, and the resurgence of one Chrome product we’ve long since left behind.
