Chrome for Android updated with fullscreen browsing and better search

Today the Google Chrome for Android team pushed out a quick update that should make plenty of users happy. The update however, is essentially the same thing we saw a few weeks ago on the BETA version, which makes sense, and brings some much needed and requested features to the popular Android browser. Google TV update will bring Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean

Google TV wasn't mentioned during the keynote today, however there is some related news. Following the keynote, Google announced that Google TV would be getting an update. The update will be arriving sometime in the "coming months" and will bring Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean along with the latest version of Chrome. Aside from simply announcing a new update, Google also released some details about future updates including those from TV OEM partners.

Android and Chrome will remain separate says Schmidt

This has been a big month for Android loyalists with some significant changes happening at Google. About a week ago, we learned that Android kingpin Andy Rubin had stepped down from his role leading Android. Google announced that Rubin would be replaced by Sundar Pichai as the head of Android.

Google Now extension spotted in Chromium

We have seen signs that Google Now was heading to Chrome, however this latest bit has arrived with little room for speculation. Basically, a Google Now extension has shown up for Chromium users. The one catch, the extension is not yet functional. Trying to stay on the positive side though, this does appear to be a fairly clear sign that Google Now support is coming to the desktop.
