Casio’s Paper Writer V-N500 tablet will set you back $2,500

We've seen our share of head-scratch inducing tablets throughout the years, but Casio's new Paper Writer V-N500 might just take the cake. The new tablet is aimed at business professionals, and comes complete with a front-facing 5MP camera that can scan the documents you put in front of it. Documents can be placed inside the included cover (which is water and shock resistant, by the way), putting them up close and personal with the tablet's camera - something that should make scanning a breeze.

Casio G’zOne TYPE-L is an Android phone that takes a beating

NEC and Casio are teaming up to bring a new Android phone to market that is designed to endure some serious punishment. This phone is being built to handle the rough forces of nature as well as the beatings that cell phone users put their devices through every single day. Think of this as the smartphone version of the popular GShock device.

Casio G’zOne Commando smartphone update rolling out

Who remembers the G'zOne? Yes that is actually the name of a smartphone from Casio over on Verizon Wireless. This extremely durable and rugged phone has been available for a while, but is mostly a forgotten device. Today however Verizon is keeping it relevant by posting a decent upgrade fixing all sorts of little bugs.

Casio G-Shock takes a beating from the ugly stick

Choices for ruggedized Android phones are a little sparse in the United States - at the moment, your best option is probably the Casio G'z0ne (AKA Commando) from Verizon. It's a little small and out dated, but it will (to borrow a competing slogan) take a lickin' and keep on tickin'. If the current model is too small, conservative and, well, attractive for your manly tastes, wait a few months and you might be able to pick up the G-Shock, a new model based on Casio's well-known tough watches. It's covered in rubber and steel, waterproof to ten meters, and it looks like a bag full of pig knuckles. G-Shock Zone got a hold of some photos from the CES booth.
